The Epoch Clan commanders' orders conflicted with what had come before. Earlier, they had wanted to capture the Zerg Queen as quickly as possible and prevent any other variables from arising.

But when the J-Z-901 solution entered the picture, they suddenly found a better option. If they reinforced and secured this area with the gelatinous solution, then even if the ground beneath it collapsed, this section would remain in place. That way, the Zerg's long-planned scheme would fail.

However, the encirclement had already shrunk considerably, while the J-Z-901 solution was still on its way. To avoid provoking Sarah too much and forcing the Zerg to trigger the cave-in ahead of time, the commanders decided to delay the attack. As long as they had around ten minutes, they could complete the initial reinforcement of the soil layers.

But this new script had arrived too late. Even though every Epoch Clan soldier was an excellent actor, with the encirclement already tightened to this extent, they had no idea how to stall for ten minutes naturally and without leaving a trace.

As a result, several absurd scenes unfolded on the battlefield. For instance, Epoch Clan soldiers fled in battle for the first time. Or, before they had even seen Sarah, they took the initiative to seal the passage with gelatinous solution.

Those performances were far too clumsy. Sarah keenly noticed the anomaly and realized that some new variable must have appeared, causing these seemingly ridiculous events.

Although the Epoch Clan fleet held the advantage in the planet's low orbit, the Zerg fleet had not been completely wiped out. In addition, many concealed reconnaissance units were still deployed throughout the planet, so the Epoch Clan's movements had remained under Zerg surveillance almost the entire time.
