In the early days, especially when the New Epoch Clan had just inherited the legacy of the Original Epoch Clan, many of them believed artificial intelligence development should be restrained. But because "Glimmer" possessed extremely high autonomous authority, those restrictions had never been particularly effective.

Over the long years that followed, the New Epoch Clan benefited greatly from "Glimmer." As a result, some gradually accepted this existence beyond their control and began developing and upgrading artificial intelligence technology based on "Glimmer's" characteristics. They also tried to ensure they would forever remain at the forefront of the Alliance in this field.

By now, they had indeed achieved that. Yet precisely because of this, apart from a handful of races in the Star Sea Alliance that had simply given up trying, every other alien race had more or less been researching how to counter high-level artificial intelligence and how to fight using non-intelligent systems.

Because if both sides deployed highly intelligent armies, but one side possessed superior artificial intelligence, the other side's military could very likely have its underlying control systems breached and turn against its own side outright.

No intelligent race could tolerate such a situation, no matter how weak it might be.

Although the Epoch Clan possessed strength that overwhelmingly surpassed countless alien races, so long as they did not truly intend to destroy those vassals, they could not stop the other races from doing this through ordinary diplomatic means. After all, even some among the Epoch Clan themselves were doing the same.
