Five minutes after making the call, Lin Xu met Bai Mo.
She had clearly recovered somewhat from her earlier shock. Though there was still a trace of barely perceptible timidity in her expression when facing Lin Xu, she had basically returned to the "calm and rational" demeanor she had shown when they first met.
"President Lin."
Bai Mo closed the office door. Lin Xu pointed at the sofa, signaling for her to sit, and instead of getting straight to business, he asked:
"Have you finished the onboarding procedures? How's the work? Can you handle it?"
"No problem."
Bai Mo immediately nodded and replied:
"I've finished reading the project documentation, and I'm currently getting familiar with the code."
"The code you wrote is all very clear and well-structured. It isn't difficult to understand."
"That's good."
Lin Xu sat across from Bai Mo, then continued:
"From here on, I'll be relying on you to push the Star Traveler One project forward—I believe that with your abilities, you won't be limited to the position of a flight-control engineer."
"You should advance quickly, and you need to."
"Do your best to climb higher. If you want to achieve your goal... you need to reach a high enough position."
"I understand."
Bai Mo opened her mouth as though she wanted to say something, but in the end, she said nothing.
Lin Xu did not waste any more words and went straight to the point.
"Let's get to the main subject."
"I want to know the specific details of how you entered that space. I want to know what means you used to enter it."
At those words, Bai Mo frowned.
After thinking for a moment, she shook her head.
"I don't know."
"When I think back on it now, it was just... an ordinary afternoon."
