Facing the Elf before him who radiated immense energy, Dean Wilfred dared not show the slightest negligence.

He said to the Aolu Mages behind him, "Take the children and leave. Evacuate everyone inside this castle."

"Yes, Dean."

The Aolu Mages rarely saw Dean Wilfred act with such gravity, so they immediately obeyed the order and led the students away.

Moments later, alarm bells rang throughout the castle, followed by the chaotic sound of footsteps and furniture colliding on the floors above and below.

Luke first lowered Clear Sky's level to 80 to conserve battery, then stood there quietly, waiting.

In the meantime, he searched his consciousness phone for information regarding Dean Wilfred.

He was 172 years old, the 27th Dean of Aolu Academy, and the longest-serving one to date.

This was thanks to his partial lineage as a Spirit Medium.

Longevity, diligence, and talent had granted Wilfred extraordinary attainments in Magic.

The Era game categorized Wilfred as a five-star hero, but like many five-star heroes whose true strength exceeded their rating, by Player standards... Wilfred should be considered a five-and-a-half-star.

This was not a sneak attack on the five-and-a-half-star Heart of Red Dragon Nilcolon; Luke was not confident he could kill Wilfred within ten seconds using a level 120 Clear Sky.

Furthermore, the phone did not have enough battery for a level 120 Clear Sky to manifest for ten seconds.

If he used a level 100 Clear Sky, he should be able to escape.

After all, Wilfred's age was a factor; his old bones might manage a few flaps as an owl, but he could not handle anything too strenuous.

Soon, the noisy clamor faded; presumably, everyone who needed to evacuate had done so.

Dean Wilfred was the first to break the silence: "You do not look like the heinous villain Councilor Virgil described. I heard you killed over a hundred people in the Cape District; I wonder if he exaggerated."

Luke admitted it readily: "That's right! He was absolutely correct... I killed many people in the Cape District."

Dean Wilfred asked again: "Councilor Virgil also said you stole a summoning item from the Raging Wave City Alchemist Association called the 'Heart of Red Dragon Nilcolon'."

"I did not steal it."

"Is it in your possession?"

"I refuse to answer!"

To Wilfred's ears, this was practically an admission.

"I can sense that you hold no malice toward Aolu Academy, and I do not wish to make such a troublesome enemy for the academy, but I must know your purpose here.

Tell me!

As long as it does not harm the academy, I can let you go."

While Luke had been checking Wilfred's profile earlier, he had discovered something quite interesting.

"Dean Wilfred, you and Professor Felix were very good friends, weren't you..."

Wilfred's expression shifted, and he said in a deep voice: "Yes, Felix and I were good friends. In fact, he was also my teacher.

He was a true genius, capable of easily mastering any academic field. If not for certain special circumstances, he would have been the 27th Dean of Aolu Academy.

You ask me this... it seems you have discovered something?"

"I know that you possess the lineage of a Spirit Medium and can shift into two forms... a tree monkey and an owl.

Given your relationship with Felix, you must have known he was guarding that library in spirit form. I suspect that when you learned I had entered the library, you followed me there and hid using your transformation.

And you have been following me ever since.

That is also why you were able to appear in time to save Lydia.

Your purpose in stopping me now is actually for the 'Book of Calamity', isn't it?"

With his objective exposed, Wilfred no longer bothered to hide it.

He gripped his staff and struck the floor heavily once more. Beams of magical energy radiated from his feet, causing the wall tiles and ceiling to flip, and the narrow corridor rapidly widened.

Amidst the rumbling, the ceiling rose...

The space expanded, walls reconfigured, and rooms split and rotated, forming a spacious hall the size of four basketball courts in a matter of moments.

"I can feel the dissipation of Felix's soul; it is a release for him, but you cannot take the 'Book of Calamity'. Since you know of that library, you should be aware of what once happened here.

It is a mysterious item that brings only disaster. No one can control it; anyone who harbors such thoughts will be corroded by its darkness.

Give the 'Book of Calamity' to me, and I can let you go."

On the floor in front of Wilfred, a magic circle unfolded, and a curtain of light rose upward.

From within the light, a series of roars echoed out.

As the light faded, a massive ape appeared. It pounded its chest with its fists, appearing extremely irritable, yet the outer ring of the magic circle restricted its movements.

It stared at Luke with crimson eyes, waiting to be released.

Wilfred issued a final warning to Luke: "This castle has been fully enchanted; it is extremely sturdy and difficult to destroy. You cannot escape!

You are not a purely evil Elf; your mind has merely been influenced by Secret Arts.

Hand over the Book of Calamity; this is your last chance."

Seven whirlwinds erupted within the hall, crackling and hissing with electric currents.

Luke had not expected to face such a scene in the end.

It did not align with the normal progression of the plot at all.

He only had himself to blame for causing such a commotion, drawing both the Security Bureau and the Secret Intelligence Bureau of Raging Wave City; it would have been difficult not to alert Dean Wilfred.

Now, he had no choice but to pit his Magic against Wilfred's.

Ice Dance Garden.

As Ice Mist Flowers bloomed in the air, the temperature inside the hall plummeted rapidly.

Rain began to patter down indoors, freezing into a layer of ice on the floor in the blink of an eye.

The rain turned into ice crystals and snow, swirling and dancing under the impetus of the whirlwinds.

The Ice Mist Flowers continued to bloom.

The hall was filled with storms, lightning, and ice and snow.

And a giant ape roared within the magic circle.

Luke gripped Star Dust Starry Azure and said to Wilfred, "Dean Wilfred, you are over one hundred and seventy years old; do not be so confident in your own strength.

If I were to kill you, Aolu Academy could not withstand such a blow."

"It seems you are prepared, then let us fight!"

"Fight!"

Dean Wilfred struck the floor with his staff once more, dissolving the formation that bound the summoned beast, and the ape charged out like a truck. It ran toward Luke using both hands and feet, leaving deep claw marks on the ice as the floor of the hall shook in its wake.

On the ice, Luke's feet moved as if equipped with ice skates; with a slight tilt of his body, he slid to the side, away from the ape's line of attack.

The ape, forced into an emergency turn, tumbled on the slick ice, its body careening uncontrollably toward the wall.

Meanwhile, Luke, sliding across the ice, charged toward Wilfred with the speed of a meteor.

Behind her, the ape's massive body slammed heavily into the wall, causing the entire castle to shudder.
