"It couldn't have been Nawaki! If it really was him, why would he leave behind the Wood Release and the old man's corpse—such obvious evidence of guilt?
He could have cleaned up the scene completely and destroyed the evidence!" Kushina spoke up then, pointing out the most obvious inconsistency in defense of her fiancé.
The other high-ranking officials nodded as well. The Anbu were fully capable of clearing the scene overnight and
