Nawaki nodded. "Shinnosuke was right this time. Looks like what happened before helped you grow up quite a bit. You've finally learned to use your head!"
"Of course!" Shinnosuke said smugly at Nawaki's praise. But wait, something felt off...
Watching everyone head out of the hall, and Uchiha Hikari smiling as she shook her head at him, Shinnosuke finally caught on. "Hey, wait! Nawaki, what do you mean I've learned to use my head? Are you praising me or insulting me?"
"Teacher Nawaki means you used to have no brains, but now you've learned to think! I'm sure he was praising you!" Might Dai kindly explained.
"Shut up! You're the one with no brains! Keep your bowl cut away from me. Why are you always around?" Ever since Might Dai had dragged him to watch a man being slowly tortured to death, Shinnosuke had held a grudge against him and wanted nothing to do with him.
Unfortunately, Dai was every bit as persistent as his son Guy. "Shinnosuke, are you sore because you lost the challenge? Failure is a part of youth. You should work even harder!"
"Bull! When did I ever lose to you?"
"Didn't we just have a contest to see who could watch the execution without throwing up? You threw up all over the place, while I managed to hold it in with great difficulty! That was a hard-won victory!"
"What? So that's why you were gritting your teeth and forcing yourself to keep a straight face! And when did I agree to some weird contest like that? You just made it up yourself!"
"I saw you nod after I explained the rules! As the Hokage's son, you can't go back on your word!"
"I only nodded because you were being so annoying! I was humoring you!
