"A shrine maiden? I never expected there to be shrine maidens anywhere in this world besides the Land of Demons. That certainly came as a surprise," Naruto said, recovering from his momentary daze.
As far as Naruto knew and remembered, he had never heard of shrine maidens existing anywhere in the Naruto World outside the Land of Demons. Hearing Princess Tamahime say she was one surprised him.
Princess Tamahime smiled. "Hehe, you seem quite surprised that I'm a shrine maiden."
Naruto said, "It is a little unexpected, but it's not completely unbelievable. There's a shrine maiden in the Land of Demons, after all, so it's nothing I can't accept. Now, Princess, may I ask why you wanted me here? Surely you didn't just want to give me a lead?"
Princess Tamahime said, "I heard about you from Princess Yukihime. Between that and the rumors about you, I thought you might be able to help me find out who's behind this. It might not seem like a big deal, but I keep feeling there's more to it. That's why I'd like you to help me catch whoever is responsible."
Naruto frowned. "Since you're a shrine maiden, catching the person behind this shouldn't be too difficult for you, should it? Why ask me to do it? Besides, this has happened at the Daimyō Mansion more than once or twice. Surely you already have someone in mind?"
Princess Tamahime said, "I do have a suspect, but that's only a guess. I'd still prefer you to investigate for me, sorry for the trouble. If I investigated myself, I'm afraid I'd alert them."
After thinking it over, Naruto said, "All right, I can help you. I'll let you know when I find out who it is, but I can't guarantee I'll uncover anything."
