Background / History

Naruto is the reincarnation of Chen Feng, a man who had lived two previous lives as an orphan. He is reborn as the son of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki, but witnesses their deaths during the Nine-Tails attack. Minato seals half of Kurama into himself and the remaining Nine-Tails, along with his and Kushina’s chakra, into Naruto through the Eight Trigrams Sealing Style. Naruto becomes Kurama’s jinchūriki at birth. 2

The trauma of losing his parents awakens the White Eye on Naruto’s forehead. The eye originates from the soul of Otsutsuki Koshiki, whose power enabled Naruto’s reincarnation into Minato and Kushina’s child. Naruto uses the eye’s independent space and his newly awakened Adamantine Sealing Chains to preserve his parents’ bodies, intending to one day revive them with the Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique. 3 13

Raised under the Third Hokage’s protection, Naruto is ostracized by Konoha after the village learns that he contains the Nine-Tails.
