He opened his mouth and spat a stream of scorching lava at him. The lava made the air throughout the cave unbearably hot, and even the rock began to warp and melt.
Without hesitation, Naruto entered Nine-Tails Mode and used the Body Flicker Technique to escape the cave. Still shaken, he said, "Th-this is ridiculous! I just wanted to talk to him. I wasn't planning to do anything! Why start fighting the moment we meet? Can't we talk this out?"
Another stream of scorching lava was his answer. Naruto immediately used the Body Flicker Technique to dodge again.
Naruto spoke to the Nine-Tails in his mind. "Hey, Kurama, what's going on with the Four-Tails? Aren't you both Tailed Beasts? Since you're one too, help me talk to him. We're only here to chat. We don't have any ulterior motives! Why is he attacking me like he's lost his mind?"
The Nine-Tails replied, exasperated, "How should I know? Did you offend him? And yes, we're both Tailed Beasts, but he's refusing to talk to anyone right now. There's nothing I can do."
Naruto dodged another stream of lava and asked, "Then what do we do now?"
The Nine-Tails replied, "What else? Beat him first. With that Four-Tails, Son Gokū, you have to let your fists do the talking. If your fists are stronger than his, he'll listen to anything you say. If you can't beat him, don't bother talking."
Naruto smiled faintly. "Oh, so that's it! You should've said so earlier. Problems you can solve with your fists are the simplest ones. Hehe..."
Roshi used the Body Flicker Technique to appear
