When Heaven Slayer suddenly snapped out of his daze, he raced toward the Palace entrance like a madman. Christina was bewildered as he dragged her along without explanation. She wanted to ask, but seeing his urgency, she held back, deciding to get a proper explanation once this was over.
At the Palace entrance, Heaven Slayer examined the murals on the ruined walls with painstaking care, studying them from beginning to end without missing a single detail. Christina curiously followed his gaze, but she still could not make sense of them. The first mural depicted a figure with a dragon's head and a human body, swinging an axe at something shaped like an egg. Christina did not understand it.
The second showed that figure holding up the egg he had split open. In the third, he seemed to have died. The fourth depicted the Three Beasts: a dragon, a bird, and a beast she could not name.
Next came what looked like two groups of beastlike people, one in the clouds and the other on the ground. They seemed to be arguing about something.
After that came a woman with a snake's tail. A crowd stood before her, seemingly kneeling in worship. The next mural also depicted a snake-tailed woman, though she looked somewhat different from the previous one. Her body had been divided into eighteen layers of varied landscapes, with six openings above them. A woman held a book and a brush, apparently recording something.
The next mural showed someone seemingly chasing a bird. Beside him, another person held a bow and looked up at the sky, where ten birds flew. It looked as though he intended to shoot nine of them. After that, the people in the clouds went to war with those on the ground...
Christina studied them
