The name Yemo carried the meaning of the end of time, and his ability was also tied to time.

Theoretically, everything had an endpoint. Even the universe would one day reach the end of time. Yemo's power of termination could guide anything toward its ultimate end.

Even inanimate objects could be sent into the end of time, turning everything into the dead ashes of the end.
