Leading a host of the family's elites, Yasuda Akimoto hurried over. Though he had already heard his subordinates' report, when he truly saw his grandson in that state, he could hardly believe his own eyes.

His grandson was actually older than him...

But when he clearly saw the person standing ahead, he believed it.

He really had returned. This man really wasn't dead!

"Lord Qi, what is the meaning of this?"

Suppressing the fury in his heart, he stepped forward.

"Are you trying to make Root fall apart? Root is about to be renamed Anbu. It no longer belongs to the Huiyue Clan!"

"Oh? Akimoto, it's you. So this brat is your seed?"

Qi looked utterly unconcerned. In truth, he really did not care.

"Back when I founded the clan, your lot were the ones hopping around the most. How surprising. With my teacher's temperament, you dared touch his things, yet he didn't slaughter you."

"Lord Danzo is already old! Konoha is no longer the Konoha they could cover with one hand!"

Yasuda Akimoto sneered. He spread his arms, and behind him, a steady stream of people was gathering.

"Do you see? In today's Root, Huiyue is merely one part of it. Even you must acknowledge that fact. Today, you must give me an explanation."

He believed that after saying this, Qi would either fly into a rage and make enemies of everyone, or admit the reality before him. Clearly, though, he did not understand Qi well enough.

Qi did not pay him any attention at all...

He looked past the crowd, searching for the people he had been waiting for.

"Clan Head!?"

"It really is the Clan Head!"

Cries of alarm rose from the crowd as a group of people rushed over, their faces filled with shock and delight.
