As a nation founded on bows and crossbows in the field of weaponry, the Land of Fire undoubtedly possessed formidable long-range firepower. Compared to the Land of Lightning fleet, which could only engage at limited range, the Land of Fire army's striking range was virtually unrivaled in the ninja world. Once the waters occupied by the Land of Water fleet entered their effective range, the foremost Land of Fire warships began their attack.

In an instant, mechanisms clattered across the Land of Fire ships. Countless arrows shot forth from heavy crossbows, and with the eruption of Fire Style talismans, firepower comparable to the saturation bombardment of Earth's modern weapons directly turned the waters around the outer ships of the Land of Water fleet into a sea of flames.

With space-time scrolls serving as storage tools, ninja armies relied far less on logistics than ordinary armies. This had always been one of their advantages over conventional forces. In the hands of ninja craftsmen, the use of space-time ninjutsu for material storage had been pushed to the extreme. The absurdly wealthy Land of Fire had never hesitated to spend money on military equipment. Other than food, which could not be stored through space-time ninjutsu, inanimate military supplies posed no problem at all.

This terrifying saturation bombardment amounted to little more than a drop in the bucket compared to the arrow reserves the Land of Fire army had prepared before setting out. They had more than enough ammunition to bombard their enemies to their hearts' content.

Faced with such an attack, no one could withstand it head-on unless higher-ranking ninja were present. Though massive in scale, the Land of Water fleet lacked real combat strength without Hidden Mist ninja stationed among them. Against such an assault, they could only endure it, and that
