Chapter 13: The Old Doctor

Under the barrage of six enormous fireballs, the Giant Brown Bear Ninja Beast's glossy fur was scorched yellow and black.

The explosive attack left the Giant Brown Bear Ninja Beast on the verge of death. It lay on the ground with its hands over its head, barely clinging to life.

"That bear's defenses are incredible!"

Uchiha Shin watched the mortally wounded Bear Ninja Beast lying on the ground in astonishment and couldn't help commenting.

Then he hurried over to the injured Uchiha Hana, bent down, and crouched beside her. He reached out with his right hand and patted her cheek, trying to wake her.

"Hey, wake up!"

"Hey, come on, wake up!"

"You can't keep sleeping!"

Uchiha Shin tried to wake Uchiha Hana, but even after two attempts, he still couldn't rouse her.

A worried look came over Uchiha Shin's face. He knew that if he didn't hurry, she'd be done for.

So he bent down, picked up Uchiha Hana, and hurried back toward the Uchiha Clan's territory.

I hope she can still be saved...

Uchiha Shin raced along, thinking anxiously.

As soon as he got back to the Uchiha Clan's territory, Uchiha Shin carried Uchiha Hana straight to the old doctor who treated the clan's injured.

"Hey, old man...!"

"Get out here!"

"Someone's in bad shape!"

As soon as he reached the old doctor's house, Uchiha Shin shouted into the courtyard.

"Shin, you again?"

"Who's hurt this time?"

By the time the old doctor came out of the house, Uchiha Shin had already reached the eaves, carrying Uchiha Hana in his arms.

"Here, it's her..."

"I found her in the forest beside the clan's territory."

"When I got there, she was nearly beaten to death by a Giant Brown Bear Ninja Beast."

After gently laying Uchiha Hana down in front of the old doctor, Uchiha Shin quickly explained what had happened.

The old doctor stepped forward and carefully examined Uchiha Hana's injuries, then gave Uchiha Shin a reassuring smile.

"She seems to have suffered internal injuries from a blow by that Bear Ninja Beast of yours, and two of her ribs are broken."

"But don't worry. I can heal her."

After smiling at Uchiha Shin, the old doctor first reset Uchiha Hana's broken ribs.

Then the old doctor held both hands over Uchiha Hana's injured area without touching it...

His hands began to glow with a soft green light. Under its glow, Uchiha Hana's injured area slowly began to heal.

Medical ninjutsu really is amazing!

If I'd had this medical ninjutsu in my previous life, I could've made a million—or even ten million—a year, right?

Watching the old doctor work, Uchiha Shin couldn't help letting his imagination run wild.

Ten minutes later, the green light around the old doctor's hands slowly faded.

The old doctor stroked his beard, looking pleased with himself as he reminded Uchiha Shin.

"I'll get going, then."

"I still have to turn in my mission."

Uchiha Shin waved goodbye to the old doctor, then turned and headed straight for the place where the Uchiha Clan turned in missions.

But the instant he turned around, Uchiha Shin immediately put on a pained expression and muttered under his breath.

"Tch, once I learn medical ninjutsu..."

"Don't expect to swindle good wine out of me again, you old geezer."

When the old doctor heard Uchiha Shin's quiet muttering, he looked as pleased as a child.
