Background / History

Xiao Wu was originally a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast who reincarnated into human form. Before entering human society, Da Ming and Er Ming were her principal companions in the Star Dou Forest. Her concern for their safety outweighs her attachment to Tang San at this point in the story. 42 46

She encounters Lin Fan near Suotuo City after sensing the Titan Giant Ape's aura. Lin Fan reveals that he knows her identity, Da Ming, and Er Ming, then uses the threat of exposure and Er Ming's disappearance to pressure her into considering following him. 42 43

At the Soul Fighting Arena, Xiao Wu chooses to leave with Lin Fan despite Tang San's pleas. She is subsequently persuaded to enter Lin Fan's Poké Ball by his promises of reunion with Da Ming and Er Ming, revenge for her mother, and eventual godhood. 45 47

The Poké Ball contract leaves her unable to act against Lin Fan.
