Background
Tang Hao's actions previously forced the Clear Sky Sect into seclusion, an outcome for which the sect's elders blamed him. By the time he returned to the sect, he was gravely injured and missing his left arm. 40
When Xiao Wu was exposed as a transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast, Tang Hao descended into Martial Soul City to save Tang San and Xiao Wu. He revealed himself as the Clear Sky Douluo, challenged Martial Soul Hall, and declared that he would take the two children away. 33
His escape attempt failed when Gu Sheng effortlessly blocked his full-force Great Sumeru Hammer. Tang Hao fled with Tang San and Xiao Wu, but Gu Sheng later sealed their route with a barrier. While Bibi Dong pressured him in battle, Tang Hao shielded Tang San from her killing strike with his left arm; he then detonated a soul ring to escape with his unconscious son, leaving Xiao Wu behind. 34 35
Tang Hao returned to the Clear Sky Sect, where he accepted responsibility for the danger brought upon it and offered his life in exchange for the sect's safety. Gu Sheng refused, ultimately annihilating the sect; Tang Hao survived the attack and escaped with Tang San. 40 41 42 48
Severely crippled and hiding in Sunset Forest, Tang Hao remained focused on protecting Tang San and avenging the Clear Sky Sect. Gu Sheng found him, shattered his final Clear Sky Hammer attack, and killed him. 48 49 52
