History
Divine influence on Douluo Continent
The God Realm's inheritance grounds—including those of the Sea God, Asura God, and Rakshasa God—begin fluctuating during the God Trials. Divine power leaks through the trials' fissures into the mortal world, strengthening Douluo Continent's plane barriers and allowing them to accommodate higher-level beings 1.
The realm maintains divine inheritances in lower planes. The Sea God and Asura God each leave inheritor marks and divine consciousness behind; the destruction of Tang San's soul causes both marks to react within the God Realm 61.
Conflict with Gu Sheng
After Gu Sheng destroys Slaughter City and kills the Asura God's chosen successors, the Asura God sends a projection to punish him. Gu Sheng destroys the projection with Holy Fire, openly rejecting the God Realm's claimed authority 46 47.
The Sea God later sends a divine-sense projection after Gu Sheng subjugates Sea God Island and brands High Priestess Bo Saixi. During this confrontation, Gu Sheng breaks his fourth seal, condenses his own godhood without inheriting a divine position, and destroys the Sea God's projection 49 51.
Following Tang San's final death, the Sea God Hall's inheritor soul lamp extinguishes, while the Asura God's inheritance mark fractures. The realm's leading gods identify Gu Sheng as the source of the lower-realm disruption 61.
Failed enforcement expeditions
The God Realm Committee first dispatches the War God, Speed God, Fire God, Wind God, and the God Realm Law Enforcement Team to apprehend Gu Sheng and Qian Renxue. Gu Sheng defeats the four first-class gods and forces the surviving expedition to retreat 62.
The five Supreme God Kings then descend personally with a larger force of enforcers and celestial soldiers. Their arrival places such pressure on Douluo Continent that the land splits and rivers flow backward 63.
Gu Sheng uses his mastery of seven origin laws to defeat the Supreme God Kings, including freezing the Asura God through the Time Origin and gravely injuring him with a single strike 63.
Reformation under Gu Sheng
After defeating the God Realm's rulers and enforcement forces, Gu Sheng enters the God Realm with Qian Renxue. The five former Supreme God Kings follow in submission 64.
Gu Sheng takes the Divine King's throne, declares himself God Emperor, appoints Qian Renxue as God Empress, and abolishes the God Realm Committee. The realm thereafter answers to Gu Sheng alone 64.
