Background / History

Ma Hongjun was reborn in Caoji Village with memories of a past life and knowledge of his future as the Evil Fire Phoenix's wielder. Knowing the martial soul's backlash would torment him, he began physical training as soon as he could walk, combining running, bodyweight exercises, and horse stances for six years. He also developed a plan to purify the Evil Fire through successive Light-attribute soul rings rather than merely suppressing its symptoms. 1

At age six, he awakened the Evil Fire Phoenix under Flender's supervision. The awakening triggered overwhelming evil impulses, requiring Flender's intervention, but Ma Hongjun retained his awareness and composure. His Innate Full Soul Power and proposed Light-based purification method convinced Flender to accept him as a personal disciple and bring him to Shrek Academy. 2 3 4

His first ring came from a 400-year-old Holy Light Sparrow. Its light power restrained part of the Evil Fire's influence, allowing him to think clearly during flare-ups, and granted him Wings of Light. 7 8

After reaching level 20, he obtained an approximately 800-year-old Holy Light Falcon ring bearing a trace of ancient phoenix bloodline.
