Lin Xiao led Douluo Continent’s defense against the invading Heavenly God Army, then entered a chaotic God Realm and faced the soul beasts’ growing power. He escaped Lang Mi’s territory and returned to the human world, vowing to kill him one day.

• Feng Ling saved Lin Xiao from Long Tian, then died after passing him Wang Zhaojun’s divine-position inheritance and a letter for their daughter, and Lin Xiao later united the empires against the coming invasion.
• Lin Xiao led the defense at Jialing Pass, where he and his allies defeated the Heavenly God Army’s first assault and killed Tian Jing, while Tang Hao and Tang Chen died destroying the enemy’s teleportation array.
• Qian Renxue joined Lin Xiao’s side, and after a final battle at Jialing Pass Lin Xiao broke through to the God King realm, killed Tian Qi and Ye Dan, and helped eliminate the invading army.

Lin Xiao returned to Douluo Continent after defeating Long Tian, reunited with his loved ones, and began seeking the Heavenly God Divinity as a catastrophe approached. The arc left him facing his own Inner Demon in the first of three trials.

• Lin Xiao returned to the Mortal Realm, avenged Ning Rongrong’s father by killing Long Yin, and later defeated Long Tian after reaching three hundred drops of Soul Power.
• Lin Xiao reunited with his companions on Douluo Continent, gave Yaoyao a million-year soul bone, and promised to protect the continent and create soul beasts that could provide soul rings.
• Flender and Zhao Wuji died, and Lin Xiao told Ning Rongrong that a giant was awakening and that he had little time left.
• The system told Lin Xiao that catastrophe would come within a hundred years and that the Heavenly God Divinity was hidden in the Mortal Realm, so he set out for the Heavenly God Mountain Range.
• Lin Xiao climbed the mountain for more than two years without Soul Power, recovered his strength at the summit, and fought the Black Bristle Blazing Boar before searching for the divinity.
• Azure Dragon attacked Lin Xiao and then let him enter the Heavenly God Mountain Range after a voice commanded it, where an old man healed him and explained that the divinity required three trials.
• The old man began the Heart-Question Trial by filling the ocean with undead souls, and Lin Xiao rejected the accusations of undead Li Bai and Xue Beng.
• Lin Xiao refused to fight the Inner Demon that emerged from the blood pool, recognizing that it sought to draw out his killing intent and devour him.

Lin Xiao passed the Heavenly God trials, absorbed the divinity, and returned in time to defeat the Blood Demon Emperor’s assault. He pursued the Blood Demon Emperor into another world, won a border war, and was ordered to surrender himself to the Wind and Rain Empire, where he revealed his God Emperor power to protect his troops.

• Lin Xiao overcame his Inner Demon and endured the wilderness trial before challenging Lu Jin again ten years later and passing the final trial.
• Zhou Jin and the elders gave Lin Xiao the Heavenly God Divinity, and Lin Xiao fused with it as undead forces and three old men tried to seize his power.
• After Lin Xiao completed the fusion, Divine Calculator and Lian Feng helped seal the awakened Blood Demon Emperor, but the seal eventually failed and the Blood Demon Emperor emerged.
• Lin Xiao returned, defeated the Blood Demon Emperor in battle, killed the Moon Wolf King, and learned from Xue Qing’s letter about a dangerous unexplored region.
