How to Save?
Fran has concocted a new orange-yellow potion, and this time the potion is of perfect quality.
"Drink it, this is the Dragon-Transformation Potion."
Fran handed the bowl of medicine to Velint, this time carefully controlling the amount and making only one serving for Velint.
After taking it, Velint drank it all in one gulp, closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, they had become vertical pupils, also red.
Large areas of scales appeared on her neck and arms, and a pair of horns grew on her head.
Fortunately, her hands didn't turn into claws, otherwise she wouldn't know how to wield her weapon.
Velint looked at Fran and, seeing that she showed no intention of drinking the potion, asked her in surprise.
"Aren't you going to drink the Dragon-Transformation Potion?"
Fran explained:
"No need, I can handle those enemies right now, I don't need to drink this."
Velint felt something was strange. Given Fran's physical condition, she should have been significantly enhanced after drinking the Dragon-Transformation Potion, so why didn't she drink it?
However, judging from Fran's previous combat prowess, whether she drinks it or not doesn't seem to affect her ability to defeat her enemies.
"Now let's talk about the objectives of this Trial."
Fran placed her hands on the table and tapped it lightly as she spoke.
Velint's expression became much more serious, and she straightened her posture, facing Fran directly.
"The first and foremost question is whether those priests are our enemies or our friends."
Velint nodded; this was also an issue they needed to clarify.
Although they stole the Divine Water, they might have caused their favorability rating among the priests of Monsa City to plummet to negative levels.
But things aren't always so simple. First, the guards inexplicably tried to arrest her, and no matter how Fran explained, they wouldn't talk to her properly.
In order to strengthen Spirit Realm Traveler like Velint so that she wouldn't be unable to defeat even a lowly soldier, Fran also became interested in the Dragon-Transformation Potion, which is why she stole the ingredients for the Divine Water.
But despite all that they did, is it possible that they both actually wanted to 'save' Monsa City, but just made some mistakes in their decision-making?
This forced them to fight, and in reality, this Trial required these Spirit Realm Traveler to unite with the priests of Monsa City to overcome the difficulties.
"Furthermore, we still don't know what the disaster will be in seven days, when it will happen, or what will cause it."
Velint added, her expression growing increasingly grave.
It's been almost a day since they arrived at this Trial, and they still haven't found any sign of disaster.
Logically speaking, shouldn't there be any prophecies or anything like that when disaster strikes?
Rumors are circulating that in a few days, something will happen to Monsa City Monsa City, or that the High Priest has been killing people and taking them to be refined into something.
However, they found no news at all that day, and even the other residents of Monsa City, except for those in the ' Land Forsaken by God,' were very supportive of the priests.
The fact that residents would occasionally dare to step forward and stop the guards during their pursuit is evidence of this.
"Una, come in here for a moment."
Fran called out to Una, who was standing outside, and asked:
"Let me ask you a question. In the past, when Monsa City encountered outsiders, did they arrest them without even asking any questions?"
"No, I remember when I was a child, the priests would treat outsiders with courtesy and would even decorate the streets."
Upon hearing Una's answer, Fran seemed thoughtful. She glanced at the tattered book she had placed on the table and asked Una another question.
"Do the gods worshipped by the Monsa have other names? Or do you simply call them gods?" "No, we only refer to them as Deity."
"Very well, Una, you can stay and listen with us." With that, Fran turned to look at Velint and tapped the table.
"I can't be sure if those priests are our friends, but I don't want to be sure."
"Those priests attacked us Spirit Realm Traveler before; I think there must be something wrong with them."
"But we have too little time. Today has already passed, and it seems we don't have enough time to gather enough information before clarifying our relationship with those priests."
"What do you want to do?" Velint frowned, a hint of unease on her face. She knew that if things continued like this, it would be very difficult to pass this Trial.
Upon hearing this, Una seemed to know that Fran was about to say something she was looking forward to, and her face lit up with a smile, revealing a few sharp teeth.
Fran blinked, tapped the table again, and began to outline her plan.
"We need to get these things done within two days, enough time to deal with the disaster..."
Ailante took one last look at his team.
Each person was surrounded by wisps of red smoke, a characteristic of those who had consumed Dragon Blood Enhancer.
Each person's weapon was coated with a red film, and bubbles would occasionally appear on its surface. You could feel a heat emanating from it when you got close.
"Let's go, let's ask those priests directly what will happen in seven days?"
A Spirit Realm Traveler was originally seriously injured, after taking the Dragon Blood Enhancer, although he still had some difficulty moving, he felt as if his body was pushing him, making it very easy for him to walk.
"That's right. These Spirit Realm creatures actually dared to attack us because they have Dragon Blood. It's time to let them know how we got to the Spirit Realm Trial."
Ailante's squad was ready; they planned to attack the priests directly and extract information from them about the disaster that would occur in a few days.
After all, they were completely dominated by these indigenous people on the first day, which made them very unhappy.
They came to 'save' Monsa City, but they were chased and beaten by the people they were supposed to save all day and couldn't even fight back.
Ailante was the one who proposed this idea. He looked up at the tall buildings on the hillside, where the priests lived.
He also realized that they had completely wasted their first day on meaningless things, just fighting with the indigenous people.
This made him feel a sense of urgency. In order to find out what the disaster was as soon as possible, he had no choice but to take the risk, otherwise there would be no other clues at all.
As they walked up the steps, they were spotted by Luka above, who immediately ordered his guards to attack the intruders.
This time, however, the situation was a little different. When the High Priest of Angmar arrived at the scene, Ailante and his party had already arrived at the entrance of the priests' living quarters.
Luka was covered in blood, his original features unrecognizable. There were also many severed limbs of guards nearby, and cries of agony filled the air.
The group looked at Angmar as if they had spotted gold.
"I heard this is the High Priest; he must know a lot of secrets."
"Yes, let's all go together and try to capture him alive, don't kill him."
Angmar's eyes flickered, revealing a vertical pupil that emitted a black light, its imposing aura making everyone breathless.
"First Order!" Ailante said in a trembling voice, filled with despair.
