Before Fran could give the order, Lyle and the others had already rushed out.
Angmar neither dodged nor avoided the onslaught of the ' Half-Dragon ' as Lyle raised his claws and slammed them hard into the face of one of them.
However, before even striking its opponent, Angmar merely opened its mouth slightly and then began to roar.
"Collapse--"
The roar reverberated throughout the Divine Temple, and dust and gravel fell in a flurry.
The inhuman sonic boom, carrying with it, caused the charging "Half-Dragon" to lose control and stagger to the ground.
Even Velint was some distance away, only managed to steady herself slightly to avoid falling.
Suddenly, layers of scales appeared on Fran's hands, which shattered and fell to the ground as ashes amidst the sound waves.
Her body was unaffected, and then she clenched her left hand, unleashing a [Brittle Armor Spell] spell that struck Angmar, who was still releasing sonic waves.
Angmar frowned. He noticed that the scales on Fran's hands could help her withstand the damage from the sonic waves, and knew that he could no longer use this move.
Although he felt a little strange after being hit by the spell, he firmly believed that he was stronger than his opponent.
He strode forward, sprinting in front of Fran, and threw a punch that carried a powerful gust of air.
Fran jumped up and blocked the incoming fist with her arm. The powerful force sent Fran flying through the air for a distance.
At the same time, she raised her other wrist and released a cloud of purple spray at Angmar.
Fran knew from her opponent's aura before the battle that he was definitely First Order Profession, so she did not launch an attack rashly.
Instead, they choose to inflict negative status effects on the opponent first, weakening them as much as possible.
Angmar frowned. His attack seemed to have hit a cotton ball, the damage negated by the distance in the air.
While the poisonous fog from the other party wouldn't have any immediate effect on him, things could change over time.
"All you do is hide, huh?" He sneered, intending to close the distance between them and leave the other party no chance to take advantage.
However, just as he was about to take a step, he felt his feet were restrained by something, and he looked down.
"Don't even think about leaving!"
Lyle, emboldened by some unknown source, stepped forward and clung tightly to Angmar's leg.
Angmar wasn't going to tolerate him. He punched Lyle in the back, sending pebbles flying from the floor.
"Ah!" Lyle groaned in pain, but surprisingly, he didn't let go and stubbornly continued to restrain Angmar.
"Hiss--" This time it was Angmar who screamed in agony as a Life-Destruction Ray shot directly at his arm, leaving a large gash on it.
Angmar gritted his teeth and kicked Lyle hard in the head with his other foot, breaking off half of the scales on his skin.
However, Lyle's strength did not diminish at all, and a golden light was emanating from Lyle's chest in a place unseen by anyone.
Seeing this, Angmar knew he couldn't get entangled with Lyle; he knew how powerful the defense was after drinking the Divine Water.
If it were Luka, it would take him some time to kill the opponent, let alone Lyle, who has Dragonkin features.
He glanced behind him: several ' Half-Dragon ' were running towards him, trying to slow him down like Lyle had done, and some ' Half-Dragon ' were picking up weapons from the ground, intending to give him a good beating.
This can't go on! Angmar clearly realized that if it were just these people, it wouldn't be a problem, but the issue was...
A large fireball exploded around Angmar, the intense flames burning on his arm, a reminder to be wary of Fran was secretly casting spells.
He steeled his resolve, ignoring Lyle who was still clinging to him, and dragged him forward.
Carrying the weight of another person slowed him down considerably, but his strength remained undiminished.
He threw a punch the instant he closed in, aiming straight for Fran's face. If his punch landed, then...
However, Fran merely sidestepped, barely dodging the punch.
Then she held her breath and activated her Sword Dance, a subtle aura emanating from Fran.
She acted swiftly, the purple dagger flashing as it slashed across Angmar's outstretched arm as he threw his punch.
A bloody gash appeared on Angmar's arm, and drops of blood flowed from it.
He ignored it, swept his arm through the air with a 'whoosh' sound, and aimed straight for Fran's face.
However, this attack missed. Not only that one, but his next three attempts were all narrowly dodged by Fran. The closest he came was when his attack struck the scales on Fran's hand, but none of them caused any damage.
Angmar knew that Lyle, who was holding his leg, was slowing him down, preventing him from launching a wide-ranging, instantaneous attack. He had to take care of this kid first, otherwise Fran alone could bleed him to death.
He gently covered his arm, which had several gruesome bloody scratches, and took a slight step back.
Fran noticed his movement and stood still, waiting for his next attack before dodging.
"Let me show you the miracles my God has given me."
Angmar roared, a red light bursting from his throat as if something was about to explode. He turned his face toward Fran, ready to attack.
However, it was a feint. He immediately lowered his head, facing Lyle who was still clinging to his leg, and a beam of light shot out from his mouth, instantly igniting red flames on the floor.
He felt his footing loosen, knowing that Lyle couldn't withstand the power of the attack, and he looked down.
Then they saw a humanoid figure burning, its skin bright red, as if it were lifeless, but a faint golden light could be seen flashing across its chest.
"Lyle!"
Upon seeing this, the ' Half-Dragon ' were filled with rage, and one of them, standing half a step away from him, raised a hammer and plunged it into his body.
He didn't dodge, letting the attack slam into his body. Even with [Brittle Armor Spell] already cast on him, this blow still caused him considerable damage.
But he had no choice but to endure it, because that last strike was a [Dragon Breath] bestowed upon him by the gods. He had originally planned to use it on Fran after restraining her, so that Fran would surely die.
However, he also understood that he might not be able to wait for that opportunity, so he decisively used [Dragon Breath] on Lyle to finish off this reckless man.
This attack exhausted him, forcing him to pause and recover before launching another attack.
However, given Lyle's example, there shouldn't be anyone recklessly trying to hold him back. As long as he can kill Fran first, these ' Half-Dragon ' will be nothing more than a disorganized mess.
