Before the Auction
After Fran returned to the Material Realm, the Lord of Radiance had no choice but to develop the realm he created himself.
Unbeknownst to Fran, He used some special means to pull seven Block from elsewhere into the Radiance Domain.
In this way, He could enable believers like Una to become Radiant Priest, and many other believers were also given strength by Him.
However, during the expansion, He discovered that a resource was in extremely short supply: Spirit Crystal.
Spirit Crystal are a substance that only exists in the Spirit Realm, and are said to represent a part of the Spirit Realm.
The Lord of Radiance did not know whether this matter was true or false, but He knew another thing: the Spirit Crystal were of great use.
The Radiance Domain He has now created can no longer accommodate those Block; in other words, the Radiance Domain is now at its full capacity.
To increase the capacity of the Radiance Domain, the Lord of Radiance discovered that it was not impossible to do so by projecting divine Divine Power, but once that was done, nothing else could be done.
Using Divine Power for the expansion of the Radiance Domain would be a waste, so the Lord of Radiance set his sights on the Spirit Crystal.
Although as a god of the Astral Realm, He can use these Block to do legitimate things and earn Spirit Crystal.
However, the Lord of Radiance did not want to work so hard. He only roughly calculated the time required to earn Spirit Crystal and could not bear it, so he set his sights on the Emerald Market.
As long as He can obtain enough Spirit Crystal from the Emerald Market to expand His domain to about thirty Block, then the power He bestows will be enough to cultivate a third-tier Profession.
By then, He will have established a firm foothold in the Spirit Realm and will no longer need to endlessly pour Divine Power into maintaining His Radiance Domain.
Fran walked through the central area of Emerald Market, marveling at how different it was from the outside world.
The artificial mountain alone, hundreds of meters high and completely invisible from the outside, is far superior to the architectural complexes in those unknown little places.
Furthermore, the space inside is very spacious, and you can hardly see the crowded scene outside. Although there are many people on the road, the road is wide, and people are not crowded together.
Along both sides of the road are exhibits in special locations, displaying armor and weapons, as well as precious materials from Magic Creature.
This is a fixed location in the central area used to display what is being sold. These display locations are blessed by the Spirit Realm, and outsiders cannot break through the protective glass.
Only if you take a liking to an exhibit, purchase it, and provide enough Spirit Crystal will a designated person deliver the purchased exhibit to you.
In addition, there is an auction hall under the artificial hill in the central area, which is used specifically for auctioning important items.
Fran's Purple Shortsword, which she was preparing to sell, will also be auctioned there.
"The next auction is in three hours." Fran frowned upon seeing this information.
As an auction house located in the Spirit Realm, there naturally wouldn't be a long waiting time for auctions. The environment of the Spirit Realm is constantly changing, causing the Emerald Market to close.
Therefore, once the items are agreed to be auctioned, they will go directly to the next nearest auction session.
This timing made Fran doubt whether the Lord of Radiance could make all the necessary preparations before his Short Sword was auctioned off.
Although she remembered the Lord of Radiance saying that as long as she lifted the restrictions of the Spirit Realm in the center of Emerald Market.
First, everyone outside the central area will be kicked out of the Emerald Market, which will negatively impact the security forces there.
At that time, all the restrictions on the warehouses will be lifted. Fran only needs to take a stroll around the warehouses where the auction items are stored, and everything will be hers.
The Lord of Radiance Spirit Crystal has already arranged for his followers to transport them. Fran's role is to come in and buy the Lord of Radiance enough time for Him to use His Divine Power to break through this place.
These words left Fran speechless. She asked carefully, "Is the defense here so weak? You could break it so easily?"
The Lord of Radiance simply said, "Divine Power can do anything."
This sparked Fran's intense curiosity about Deity and Divine Power, and she longed to go find the Lord of Radiance to study Divine Power right now.
However, she restrained herself, knowing that since Divine Power could break through the defenses of the Emerald Market, it was something she couldn't touch right now.
It's important to know that the Emerald Market holds considerable weight among lower-level Profession, which speaks volumes about its status. Naturally, such a place is heavily guarded, making it difficult to infiltrate by normal means.
However, the Lord of Radiance, a Deity from the Astral Realm, is an exception; He can easily break through the defenses inside using His Divine Power.
This elevated the Deity's status in Fran's heart.
As Fran continued along the road, Fran saw many things that interested her.
However, Fran could only continue forward without stopping, because Fran knew that she didn't have a single Spirit Crystal and couldn't afford it at all.
She doesn't need to buy them now. If these things aren't bought by others in a short time, she can just go to the warehouse and grab a bunch of good stuff. As for whether they are the things she wants now, that depends on fate.
Just then, Fran spotted a familiar figure, and as Fran looked over, Nora also looked over.
"Fran, what are you doing here?"
Nora looked at Fran in disbelief; she hadn't expected Fran to be here.
She knew that Fran didn't have any Spirit Crystal, which was normal for a Profession to the Spirit Realm Market.
After all, before knowing about the Spirit Realm Market, almost no Profession knew that there was a currency called Spirit Crystal in the world, and that it only circulated in the Spirit Realm.
She had considered that Fran might possess some valuable items, but selling those items would take time, right? How did Fran end up here like this?
Fran explained:
"I sold a weapon that was included in the main auction, so they specially gave me a pass."
Generally speaking, there is only one way to obtain a pass for the central area: by purchasing it for a considerable amount of Spirit Crystal. After purchasing the pass, one can enter and exit the central area for approximately one year.
Normally, you can't get a pass by consigning items, but there are always exceptions.
You can put the items in the auction house without going into the central area. You can then go there to collect the Spirit Crystal you get from the auction later.
However, Fran is consigning the main auction items, which are specially recommended by the auction house and an important means of attracting people. Naturally, such clients cannot be generalized.
Upon learning that this was Fran's first time visiting, the staff member who helped with registration immediately handed Fran a pass, valid for approximately three months.
However, Fran doesn't care how many days the validity period is, or whether she succeeds in today's job or not. To avoid suspicion, she has to stay away from this market and go to other markets in the future.
"I see! You're willing to part with something like this, which is a major item in the auction."
Nora looked surprised; she hadn't expected Fran to have something that could be considered a major auction item.
It's worth noting that sometimes, even after Emerald Market has been open for three days, you might not find a single item that will be listed as a main auction item.
Fran, however, put it up for auction right away, which left Nora speechless and at a loss for words.
Such a major auction item would generally be worth several hundred Gold Coin in the Material Realm, and in some special cases, it could even soar to thousands of Gold Coin.
Nora felt a mix of envy and sadness knowing that someone she knew had hundreds of Gold Coin.
As a member of the Yobner Society, she was never really in a good financial situation because her experiments were so expensive.
This is also the main reason why she gave up the superior learning environment in the Floating City, accepted the mission, and came to the Northern Lands Society. She had no choice; she was simply too short of money.
If it weren't for her huge financial needs and her membership in the Yobner Society, why would she have ended up in this godforsaken place Northern Lands Society?
Just then, a beam of purple light shot into the sky from the auction house below the Emerald Rockery, signaling the appearance of the main auction item.
The beam of light is purple, meaning that the item up for auction is a weapon.
Normally, not everyone will stay in the central area all the time, even though the central area sells very valuable items.
However, not everyone has enough money to auction off, and not everyone needs some low-level materials.
This is a complete Magic World, and sometimes, some low-level materials are more suitable than many high-level materials.
Nora looked at the purple beam of light shooting into the sky and asked curiously:
"You're just going to sell a staff that was supposed to be a main auction item like this?"
Since Fran and Nora are both mages, and Nora knows that Fran is not a member of the Sword Chant School, she thinks Fran probably won't auction off melee weapons or anything like that.
If she had one, Fran would have sold it long ago. Why would she wait until now and still sell it in the Spirit Realm? You have to understand that a melee weapon is of little use to most mages.
Nora guessed that Fran had reluctantly sold a staff, since when the purple beam indicated weapon categories, staves were almost the only magical equipment that would meet the requirements.
In conclusion, Nora believes that Fran sold a staff, probably the kind of universal staff that enhances various spells.
"Huh? No, I'm selling Short Sword," Fran immediately denied, her denial so swift that Nora didn't even have time to react.
"???" But after regaining her senses, Nora's face was full of confusion and shock.
How come you, a mage, have such a powerful Short Sword?
