This One Must Not Be Allowed to Live
Fran looked at the blue palace in front of her, and a small indentation on the palace gate.
According to Zali, the dent is a mark left from the use of the Sunflame Arts.
Without hesitation, Fran immediately imbued the bat with red light. Thanks to Zali's help, the red light on Fran's bat was now deeper, and the red seemed to be breathing, sometimes dark and sometimes light.
With Fran's mastery of Sunflame Arts and the environment specially adjusted by Zali, a reaction occurred as soon as Fran inserted the glowing red baseball bat into the dent.
Real flames emerged from around the depression and spread across the door, turning the entire door red.
Fran didn't spend much time before she saw the entire door turn red, followed by a loud 'bang' from behind it.
Then the gate in front of Fran began to disintegrate. At the indentation where the baseball bat had been inserted, it caved into four parts from the top, bottom, left, and right, shrinking into the door frame.
After seeing the door open, Fran went straight inside.
She knew exactly what this test was testing: the Trial participant's mastery of the Sunflame Arts. Only those who had mastered it could stain the gate red and open it.
This was the simplest thing for Fran, because with the help of the Panel, she had met this condition a long time ago.
Upon entering the blue palace, Fran saw a huge stone tablet in the center of the palace, inscribed with many names.
The top part of the stone tablet, down to about 20% of the way down, is covered with names, while on the side of the tablet, Fran sees a row of names that are not yet written.
Without hesitation, she signed her name using Sunflame.
Finally, as she looked at the names carved into the stone tablet with Sunflame, she could feel the difficulty of passing this Trial.
At the top 5% of the stone tablet, Fran saw names that were all red like burning flames, and Fran saw the name ' Zali ' among them.
According to Fran's guess, these people should be the names of those who truly passed the Sun Trial.
Below these names are a series of names interwoven with purple and cyan.
Fran saw that the red of the names she had just written with the Sunflame had faded to a cyan background, and she knew that the cyan names symbolized that she had passed the first Trial, while the purple names probably meant that she had passed the second Trial.
Just from the names listed above, Fran could tell that after the gods intervened in this Trial, very few people were able to Trial.
She turned around, walked to the door, glanced back once more, and then walked straight out the door.
After Fran stepped out the door, the door closed, as if Fran had just arrived, leaving a few red sparks in the indentation in the middle.
Fran raised her head, not looking in the direction of the second Trial, because Fran couldn't deal with the Proxy along the way.
She looked in the direction she had come from. The three yellow dots there were closer together, but they hadn't yet come together. She needed to deal with these three small yellow dots first.
Once Fran confirmed the direction, she ran straight towards the small yellow dot closest to her.
"Aren't we all Proxy? Why are you attacking me?"
When Fran pierced his back with a baseball bat, one of the Proxy asked Fran a question in bewilderment.
He really couldn't understand why Fran, who exuded the aura of Proxy, attacked him directly upon meeting him.
and...
He looked at his chest, where two large holes had been torn open, and he was completely powerless to fight back against the opponent's attack.
Reluctantly, he could only return to the Material Realm, his body becoming ethereal, filled with confusion and resentment.
Fran pulled the baseball bat out of the corpse, then removed the Sunflame from it, calmly looking up at the sky. What she saw made her frown.
"How come another one appeared after I only killed one Proxy, and why are these three Proxy all together?"
Fran looked up at the sky and saw that there were three yellow dots closest to her in the area where Fran was, but these three yellow dots were already close together.
Fran didn't quite understand what was happening. Why did another Proxy suddenly appear in this area after she only killed one Proxy, and why were the original two Proxy now standing together?
Based on the current location of these yellow dots, Fran deduced that the suddenly appearing yellow dot came from a relatively distant place.
"The other side is so fast?" Fran compared her own speed from the first Trial to here with the speed at which the Proxy in the distance arrived at the other two Proxy.
"This Proxy is more than twice as fast as me..." Fran learned a startling fact, which made her even more wary of the Proxy.
"This child must not be allowed to live. I must kill him first, and it must be a fatal blow."
Fran made up her mind. She knew that such high-speed units absolutely could not be left behind, as it might reveal that she was hunting these Proxy.
"Once I get there, I'll first find this high-speed Proxy, then take care of the Proxy two, or I'll directly confront all Proxy and launch a frontal attack."
Fran walked towards the three yellow dots at a moderate pace.
Meanwhile, in a region where the land had turned yellow, three people were walking forward, chatting as they went.
The three people were not all walking on the ground. One of them had a pair of dragon wings that extended from his body. The dragon wings did not flap, but the person moved in the air along with the two on the ground.
"This Trial is really strange. I've only encountered one Trial, but how many have you encountered?"
"One."
"Two."
"This is truly strange. I found records in the Sect's internal records of past obstacles to these kinds of Trial."
"According to the records above, each time the Proxy arrive at the Trial, although one or two Proxy will be thrown into a corner, most Proxy will be surrounded by the Trial participants."
"Sometimes, when luck is against you, two Proxy are actually killed by those Trial participants and return to the Material Realm."
"There are three of us now, surely we can't all be left in a corner? Besides, Harrison can fly, after searching for so long, we shouldn't have only found two..."
As he spoke, Cyril looked up at Harrison flying in the sky. According to Harrison's previous statement, he had been flying for a long time, but had only found two people.
Even they were the same; neither of them found many people, and all they could see was desolation.
Just then, Matthew, who had been silent all along, suddenly spoke up.
"Perhaps it was the Trial who truly wanted to pass this Trial who did this on purpose; they could have asked the Domain Lord here to do so."
This statement piqued Cyril's interest, and he largely agreed with the conjecture.
"Perhaps that's true, but if that's the case, what is their purpose...?"
"If they simply want to avoid us, the best way is to place those Trial participants in our path to hinder our progress."
"This means we'll have to clear out those Trial participants blocking our way, buying time for the one who truly wants to pass the Trial."
"But there's a pillar of light on the final arena, so he has to face us, and there's absolutely no way our opponents can defeat us—that's a record that's hundreds of years old..."
"But under these circumstances, it's not easy for us to find those Trial participants, and it's not easy for Trial to encounter us either. The other side intends to..."
"Don't overthink it. In the end, he'll have to face us anyway. As soon as the pillar of light appears, we'll head there."
Just as Cyril was about to discuss these issues with his companions, Harrison was flying in the sky, interrupted him.
Cyril pursed his lips and sighed, knowing that apart from himself, the others here were probably not interested in this unusual situation.
"Why are all my Dragon Clan companions like this? Can't I find a non- Dragon Clan companion?"
The reason these three Proxy of different Deity came together is because they were all Proxy of the Dragon Clan Deity.
Harrison flies in the sky, is the Proxy of the renowned Cult of the Sky Dragon in the Material Realm, while Cyril himself is the Proxy of the Cult of the Scroll Dragon, who is somewhat well-known in the Material Realm.
The silent Matthew beside him was Proxy of a Dragon Clan Deity in the Spirit Realm, though Cyril didn't find out exactly who he was.
Furthermore, even after observing the other party, Cyril was still unable to determine which Deity the other party belonged to.
Matthew was wearing a black robe that covered his entire body. Underneath the robe, a protruding tail could be vaguely seen from behind, a rather prominent feature.
Furthermore, judging from the fact that Matthew still retains his human form, the opposing Deity is probably not a pure Dragonkin Deity, but Deity with a human form.
However, Cyril did not find such characteristics in the Sect's books, and he could only conclude that this was a Deity who had recently come to the Spirit Realm from the Astral Realm.
Cyril was filled with curiosity about these two Dragon Clan Proxy because of his own background in the Cult of the Scroll Dragon, but the Dragon of Scrolls Sect seemed to be an anomaly among the entire Dragon Clan.
Harrison, flying in the sky, was full of arrogance, answering Cyril's questions with a disdainful snort each time, while Matthew ignored his questions and remained silent.
This made Cyril very upset. He wanted to discuss what he had discovered with someone, but found that neither of the two people really wanted to talk to him.
Just as Cyril was about to start a conversation, he suddenly saw a figure in a white robe appear on the distant land, which surprised and delighted him.
"Look, that looks like an Proxy as well."
The one who reacted the most at this moment was not Cyril, but Matthew, who was standing to the side. He looked at the fluctuations of the Lord of Radiance on Fran and muttered to himself.
"I found it." His hands trembled so much he could barely lift them, but fortunately they were hidden under his black robe, so no one noticed his unusual behavior.
