Came to the Wrong Place
Matthew, the god's agent who had clashed with the Lord of Light and Fran, returned to his own realm of spirits.
He wasn't deterred by the disorientation of leaving the Trial; he went out the moment he returned.
His steps were unsteady; he had not yet recovered from the side effects of dying in the Trial, yet he headed towards the largest Divine Temple in the distance.
On the way, no one dared to obstruct him in the slightest because of his stumbling steps; they stepped to the side before he could even bump into them.
Matthew walked step by step into the Divine Temple, and even the priests inside dared not stop him, for he was God's Proxy.
Matthew went into a dimly lit room, sat down, then knelt down and prayed to Deity.
"You are both Dragon Clan and a mortal..."
"You symbolize the blurred line between dragons and other races..."
After Matthew offered a few words of prayer, the Divine Statue in front of him seemed to be polished, standing out prominently in the dimly lit room.
Matthew knew that the Deity who had made him his Proxy had come into the Divine Statue.
A black crystal suddenly appeared in the Divine Statue's eye, and then the voice that filled Matthew with both fear and joy rang out.
Matthew was afraid because he feared the voice of Deity, but overjoyed because the other party had chosen him, giving him a treatment he never dared to dream of before.
"Matthew, what have you done? Why has most of the Divine Power I gave you disappeared? I need an explanation."
Hearing Deity questioning tone in the deity's voice, Matthew's body trembled slightly, and then he slowly spoke:
"I'm doing this to fulfill a mission from the Deity."
"Oh! My task... May I ask how it's going?"
Although Matthew did not glean from the Deity's words any indication that he would be punished if he did not perform well.
But Matthew sensed from the pauses in the other person's tone that if he couldn't please the Deity, he'd likely be in deep trouble.
He lowered his head even further and then said:
"I'm sorry, my God, I really shouldn't have used so much Divine Power, but it's the only way I can think of to complete the task you assigned me."
Before Matthew could continue speaking, he heard a strange laugh coming from the Divine Statue, and he was immediately too frightened to speak.
"Continue," Matthew said, only continuing after the Divine Statue in front of him spoke these words.
"When I encountered the target you specified, she somehow infiltrated the Dragon Clan's ranks and then attacked the others in the group."
"She is simply too powerful; none of the three of us are a match for her. And I've been thinking about what you said about having the target wear something bearing your mark."
"I have no way to get close to her. If the inscription is carved on her robe, and someone warns her, then my mission will also be impossible to complete."
"So at that crucial moment, I thought of the regulations regarding third-tier materials in the Spirit Realm."
"Materials of tier three and above cannot freely enter and exit the Spirit Realm with Spirit Realm Traveler. Each time they move between the Spirit Realm and the Material Realm, they require additional assistance."
"So, I used the Divine Power you gave me to condense a Black Shadow Wolf's claw and engraved the mark on it. This mark is also black, so she won't notice it."
"And whenever she sees this thing, she will definitely take it into her hands, because it is a rare material."
Silence fell over the room, and Matthew, trembling, dared not raise his head.
Fortunately, the silence in the room only lasted a short while before it was broken by the voice coming from the Divine Statue.
"Well done, my Proxy."
Upon hearing this, Matthew's tense shoulders immediately relaxed.
Although He felt bad that the Divine Power was used to create a third-tier material, it was too expensive, and it was created out of thin air, consuming even more Divine Power.
If He wants to create a Tier 3 material, He will choose to use a Tier 2 material as a base and upgrade it to Tier 3. This way, the Divine Power consumed will be much less, and it will be more efficient.
Methods like Matthew's, which directly create Tier 3 materials, are truly a waste of Divine Power, but...
He gave Matthew so much Divine Power, but He never expected Matthew to use it well. When it comes to using Divine Power Divine Power, He, as Deity, dares to say that He is second to none.
He gave Divine Power to Matthew so that he could complete the task He had assigned him.
As long as Matthew completes his task, even if he exhausts all of his Divine Power, He will not blame him.
Because Matthew truly made every effort to complete the task He assigned him.
"Alright, you can leave now."
Matthew breathed a sigh of relief; he knew that from now on, he was the Proxy of the Deity.
Matthew moved swiftly and without the slightest delay, pushing the door open and walking out.
The black Gem on the Divine Statue in the room was still glowing faintly until the lights in the room were completely turned off.
"The Lord of Radiance's Proxy attacked him, why would that guy attack these Proxy...?"
The Dragon Lord of the Back-Head is now inside the Divine Statue, pondering what Matthew had just told him.
"Could it be that the Lord of Radiance helped someone who wanted to pass the Sun Trial, and therefore sent his Proxy to kill the other Proxy..."
"That's possible, but what would that mean to Him? Any amplified influence of the sun would not benefit our Deity..."
"But this isn't absolute. Perhaps in the Spirit Realm or the Material Realm, a Sunflame Knight could bring Him even greater benefits..."
He remained inside the Divine Statue for a long time, pondering the actions of the Lord of Radiance.
When He failed to outmaneuver the Lord of Radiance last time, He knew that in the Spirit Realm, they were already enemies.
Whether it was the Lord of Radiance's initial mistake in seizing that Block, or His spreading of unfavorable information about the Lord of Radiance within the Deity community and preventing Him from contacting other Deity, these actions have made reconciliation impossible.
These events have made reconciliation impossible for them, and given the chance, they will certainly attack each other if they encounter one another.
It was absolutely right for the Lord of Radiance to launch an attack before He had even established a firm foothold in the Spirit Realm.
However, His attacks seemed to have no effect on the Lord of Radiance.
Since they couldn't form alliances with other Deity in the Spirit Realm, they directly attacked the Emerald Market and obtained a large sum of money.
Although this made the Lord of Radiance a target of public criticism, this large sum of Spirit Crystal alone would allow him to exist in the Spirit Realm for a hundred years.
This is also what He doesn't quite understand about the Lord of Radiance; the other party seems extremely eager to come to the Spirit Realm and even the Material Realm.
This is very abnormal. Many of these Deity are still in the Astral Realm and haven't taken a single step out, precisely because they are not interested in the lower realms.
These Deity who took this step only came to the Spirit Realm because of some interest and some uncontrollable forces; many of Deity didn't even want to go to the Material Realm.
The Lord of Radiance was the one among His kind who most longed to come down below; His eagerness for the other exceeded His imagination.
The moment the other party had the idea of coming to the Spirit Realm, without even taking several years to slowly project their power, they hastily seized every opportunity.
Even in the last incident with Monsa, if the Proxy chosen by the other party hadn't been so capable and actually smashed His Divine Statue, He probably would have returned empty-handed.
After all, He had never seen a situation where Deity could be brought to the Spirit Realm simply by exchanging a few words with the Proxy without even projecting a shred of power. How could such a thing happen?!
"Now it's my turn. Let me see how lucky your Proxy is, and whether I can seize this opportunity. If I'm right, then you can wait to say goodbye to your Proxy."
After waiting inside the Divine Statue for more than a day, the Dragon Lord of the Back-Head turned sensed that the Trial of the Sun was over. Now it was time for Him to see if Fran was in a place where He could take action.
If Fran hadn't returned to the Radiance Domain or the Material Realm immediately after the Trial, then His attack would have been enough to kill Fran.
Normally, hostile Deity would target the other's Proxy, especially since this Proxy of the Lord of Radiance had contributed significantly to the other's actions.
He carefully sensed the location of the mark, and then a crack suddenly appeared in the Divine Statue in which He stood.
"They actually stayed in the Spirit Realm, they didn't leave, and they're still in the Sun Domain..."
Upon seeing the Sun Domain, He hesitated somewhat, for there were things within the Sun Domain that suppressed Him and might cause Him to lose even more Divine Power.
"No, perhaps she simply collaborated with the person who passed the Sun Trial. An Proxy of Deity could never become Sunflame Knight."
In His view, this was an irrefutable truth, so He did not hesitate and activated the mark directly.
At this moment, Fran, far away in the Sun Domain, was running swiftly into the depths of the Sun Domain. In order to go deeper, she even used [Mental Power], layering her Mental Power on top of her physical body.
Her physical condition, with a score of over 40, allows her to withstand higher temperatures and makes her faster.
"This is it, I can't take it any further."
Fran looked at the charred marks on her white robe at her feet and felt somewhat helpless. Although she could withstand a little more distance, she would have to reduce her strength.
In that case, her white robe would turn to ashes in an instant, and she didn't want to see that happen, so she stopped there, since she felt the temperature here was sufficient.
To avoid damaging her weapons, she even left the two already scorching hot weapons with Zali, only taking the black claw with her.
"They've arrived."
The black claws suddenly swelled up, as if something was crawling out of them.
In just a few seconds, a black, beast-shaped phantom emerged from the claws, and then Fran heard a sound that was both a scream and a sound of surprise.
"How could it be here?!"
