Changes in the Mine and the Spell's Completion

Several days passed, and neither Anna nor most of the followers of the Lord of Radiance noticed anything amiss.

It's simply a matter of placing the things Fran made in the right locations, or arranging for the miners to use some makeshift tools to mine Ore and build houses.

Fran abandoned the idea that everything had to be powered by Steam Engine; she discovered that, under the current circumstances, making some small tools might be more efficient for mining Ore.

However, in the end, it was still done by manpower, which was not as fast as using large machinery.

Overall, however, the efficiency of Ore has improved significantly, and the makeshift railcars make it easy to transport the Ore to the warehouse.

Three days later, when Anna inspected the warehouse, she was surprised to find that it was already full of Ore, and the newly acquired Ore could only be piled outside.

This brought Anna back to her senses, and she realized that so many things had changed in the past few days.

It's not just the changes in Ore extraction that have occurred, but also the increase in various ferrous metal objects on the mines, whereas originally the area was mostly filled with wooden items.

Although this is a mine, it is clear that blacksmiths held a certain status in the feudal territory, and they would not come to the mine to dig stones themselves.

Since there are no blacksmiths here, and Ore is only being produced and not produced, there are naturally not many metal products.

Now, thanks to Fran's efforts in keeping her house lit up for several nights, the number of metal products in the mine has clearly surpassed that of wooden products.

"This is too fast... but it's really tiring to keep going like this..."

Anna looked around the entire mine. Now, not only her, but also the believers, including Aila, had been pulled up there to work by Fran.

What's even more terrifying is that, in the midst of their daily toil, the believers lured the miners with the promise of easier jobs, successfully spreading their faith among the miners.

This led to a result that left Anna speechless for the rest of her life: after sunset, a beam of light illuminated the entire mine. The light source appeared in the sky above the mine, preventing the entire mine from falling into darkness.

Having light is certainly a good thing. After all, with light, some believers no longer have to worry about falling at night, and Anna's vision can see further.

However, this had a major drawback: they still had to work after sunset.

Although the number of believers is still relatively small, causing the light to often go out after two or three hours at night, Anna still finds it terrifying.

After all, those miners had limited knowledge and shallow understanding, making it impossible for them to connect their faith with the light that suddenly appeared in the night.

They would probably just be amazed at how clever these people were to keep the mine so brightly lit at night, without ever connecting the two things together.

If they knew that their working hours would be extended if they believed in a certain Deity, they probably wouldn't want to believe in the Lord of Radiance no matter what.

However, although her working hours were extended, Fran differed from the guards in that she prioritized efficiency in everything she did.

These people were driven to the mine, and their daily lives weren't just filled with mining; they also faced harassment from the guards. Once the miners had mined the designated amount, the guards could do whatever they wanted with them.

Every year, several people die not from accidents at the mine, but from the harassment of the guards, either at their hands or left disabled.

The Radiant Sect led by Fran was different. Apart from making them work long hours, they were generally provided with food, and there was usually no punishment as long as they didn't make mistakes.

This led to the spread of the faith in the Lord of Radiance among these miners, with most openly and verbally declaring their belief in the Deity.

However, it is clear that the Sect in the other world still possess some extraordinary power. They can still distinguish who truly intends to join the Sect, and who merely misses the name but is unwilling to even recite the prayers a few times in private.

However, spreading faith among the miners was still a drop in the ocean compared to the task the Lord of Radiance had entrusted to her.

Converting these miners into believers was merely a convenient way to expand their base.

If the goal was truly to expand the number of followers, Fran could have gained several times more followers simply by having the lord of White Flower City take the stage and rally support.

However, Fran ultimately did not do so, because getting the people to start believing in the Lord of Radiance was only the first step she needed to take.

What she really needed to do was to organize all these believers and make them act systematically according to her ideas.

If she simply spreads faith, the Lord of Radiance will only grant her more power.

However, in Fran's view, a ruling system with extraordinary power is what truly has value. She can rely on the name of the Lord of Radiance to gather a group of highly cohesive believers to work for her.

That's why she came here and started building her own system from scratch, giving the believers a basic organizational structure.

As she said before, it wouldn't be difficult for her to conquer the entire Antir by herself if she wanted to.

Once she has crafted all the equipment she envisioned and planned the order in which to defeat her enemies, no one in Antir will be her match.

But what she really wanted was an Antir who could provide her with tremendous support, a complete production system, and a clear sense of cohesion.

This forced her to start here, and she had to begin building all of this.

The camera pans to Fran's cabin, where even the outside is now filled with all sorts of strange machines. Without seeing the full extent of the machines, Fran can't immediately identify what each one does.

Fran stood beside the machine, turned the lever on it, and put in coal mined from a nearby mine.

After waiting for several minutes, the entire machine began to rotate, and steam was emitted from its head.

Fran made her notes in her notebook, then watched the Steam Engine continue to run. Suddenly, she seemed to have thought of something.

She began to cast the Forge School Composite Spell she had half-developed before coming to Antir, the spell she intended to use to advance her Specialized Mage.

Following her pre-existing spell structure, she slowly channeled her spirit into it. After guiding it for about four seconds, her spell began to take effect throughout her body.

In that instant, she could feel herself beginning to resonate subtly with the machinery before her, and with all the other machines in the mine.

She could sense that these machines were giving her strength.

"Interesting. Is this what the other world is like? These machines had a connection to their creator from the moment they were created."

It's obvious that Fran's previous life didn't have this effect. The specific mechanism behind it will probably have to wait until she continues to advance in Order before we can investigate further.

Fran shook her head, jotting down the thoughts in her mind for the time being. She opened the Panel and saw this item in Panel Arts section.

[Steam Concerto (Mastered) (Proficiency: 1/1000): A spell created by Fran, which can provide bonuses through steam-based machinery she creates. The exact upper limit needs to be verified...]

"As expected, that's the name." Fran raised an eyebrow. When designing this spell, Fran had already thought of the name for it in her mind, but she had never said it out loud.

However, Fran didn't dwell on the name issue. As long as she could access Panel Panel, she could accelerate her progress to the mastery level. At that point, she could start trying to advance her Order Forge School.

Fran could sense that the new spell that had appeared on the Panel offered her very little benefit.

"At my current physical level, this spell can only improve my physique by a small amount."

As Fran's physique improves, it becomes increasingly difficult to raise it even slightly, because in the later stages, every small increase in these attributes results in a greater physical strength.

"I estimate that if I reach the upper limit of this spell structure, it will probably increase my constitution by about ten points."

Fran did some quick calculations about the potential improvements based on the spell's structure she had designed.

"It's alright. After all, I can still retain some Mental Power to maintain this spell, and the physical constitution I can ultimately obtain through Mental Power will be even higher."

Fran was fairly satisfied with the spell she had developed. Although the spell didn't offer much improvement for her at the moment, it was still an improvement nonetheless.

Furthermore, Fran knew that this spell could be further optimized, namely, by using it to achieve the status of Specialized Mage.

Fran knew that the reason there was a Profession of Specialized Mage was because when using a spell that one was proficient in to advance, that spell could evolve along with one's own life form, inexplicably.

Just like when Fran was advancing to the mage Profession of the Elemental School, she was able to create a new second-tier spell using three spells as a base, although Fran still doesn't know what the effect of this spell is.

However, the principle behind both is the same: after promotion, one can enhance their existing spells through the increase in their mage Order.

This is an experience gained by mages through long-term deduction. They discovered that after advancing using a First Order spell, the spell's structure exhibits a resilience that cannot be explained by any of the mage's current knowledge structures.

It's like how a piece of wood, after being upgraded, exhibits strength similar to C30 concrete...

This is an unreasonable upgrade, elevating the spell to a level that is quite powerful even among second-tier spells.

Fran was eagerly anticipating the effects of this spell after she completed her advancement to Specialized Mage.

However, this happened quite some time later. When Fran was looking at the Panel, she suddenly discovered that a new Profession had appeared in her Profession list.
