Methods for Dealing with Demons

Fran felt that she had been very lucky, yet not all that lucky.

The fortunate part was that she had actually encountered a mage's disciple who studied Abyssal Script, but that mage apparently was no longer on the continent.

According to The Alliance's rules, while a mage's property had not quite reached the point of being sacred and inviolable, arbitrarily using a Fourth Order mage's research results was clearly not allowed.

Iris could not make the decision for her mentor, and the day her mentor would return to the continent was still far away.

Fran could only abandon the idea of trading gold coins for Abyssal Script and instead ask Iris what special methods, besides killing it outright, could be used if she found a demon.

Of course, Iris was not omnipotent either. That demon's true body was still in the Abyss, but Iris did tell Fran about a feasible method that could threaten a demon.

This method could harm a demon's true body, though it was limited to inflicting only some damage.

However, once demons noticed that their true bodies had been injured, nearly all of them would immediately choose to return to the Abyss. It was a good way to drive demons away.

After praising the Goddess of Magic and briefly betraying her faith in the Lord of Radiance, Fran obtained the method.

She looked at the pearl bracelet on her wrist, which had grown two sizes larger. It now held far more pearls than when Fran had first received it.

The Lord of Radiance had given Fran quite a bit of Divine Power, and Fran had signed an Abyss Contract while also carrying that Black Stone Slab, an object strongly connected to the Abyss.

Her connection to the Abyss was probably closer than even Iris's. She might
