The Lord of Radiance had been brimming with confidence. Having put it that way, she had expected Fran to accept the task gladly.
But to her surprise, Fran barely reacted. She merely acknowledged it before asking:
"What use is this missing little piece of the Sun Domain?"
Fran asked bluntly. She could more or less tell that the Lord of Radiance had misunderstood something. This was probably a follow-up to her becoming a Sunflame Knight.
In the Lord of Radiance's eyes, this fragment was most likely useful to the Sun Domain as a whole. Recovering it might even be something a Sunflame Knight had to do to advance to tier three.
"Aren't you a Sun Messenger? How do you not even know this?"

Faced with this situation, the Lord of Radiance had no choice but to explain.
"As Sun Messengers, retrieving a fragment of the Sun Domain is a mission you are duty-bound to carry out. It's just that this is usually so difficult that no Sun Messenger has ever succeeded."
"Now we have an opportunity. As long as you exploit this loophole and help me take this domain, I'll separate that fragment from it and send it back to the Sun Domain."
Fran scratched her head, unsure what to say.
It certainly sounded like her duty. After all, the traits section of her panel did include [Sun Messenger].
Just as the Lord of Radiance had said, she was indeed a Sun Messenger. If she truly had a mission, then retrieving part of the Sun Domain from the Spirit Realm made sense.
There was just one rather awkward problem:
