When Fran returned home that evening, she immediately packed all her belongings and went to the basement.

The table she originally used as a dissection table had been burned to ashes in the stove, and the body had been packed into a body bag.

Now she had to admit that Formal Mage was indeed different; even after so many days, the corpse remained unchanged, showing no signs of decay, except that some parts of the skin had dissolved.

Of course, she wasn't here to deal with the corpse today; she was here to practice her magic.

Aside from the first day when she only made Fireball Spell Ring and didn't acquire any more spells, people from various School came to her to order rings for the remaining days.

Although some of the spells were duplicates, Fran still managed to acquire a large number of spells through this.

She planned to first learn the basics of these spells, and then master the more useful ones.

This is her Arts Panel.

[Arts: Fireball (Beginner) (Proficiency: 12/100): Can condense Fire Element into a ball and throw it forward. When it touches a target Fire Element, it will explode and cause damage.]

Earth Spike Spell (Beginner) (Proficiency: 1/100): Condenses Earth Element from the ground to form a thrusting attack on the target. (Note: Requires Earth Element to use.)

Life-Destruction Ray (Beginner) (Proficiency: 3/100): Fires a ray that deals additional damage to living matter if it hits it.

Cloud Mist Spell (Beginner) (Proficiency: 3/100): Creates a cloud of mist that obstructs vision, released centered on the caster.

Brittle Armor Spell (Beginner) (Proficiency: 10/100): Creates a ball of light. If the ball of light hits a hard object, the object's hardness decreases.

Soul Creation (Unskilled) (Proficiency: 3/100): Use this on a dead corpse. There is a chance that the corpse will generate a spirit. The success rate depends on when the corpse died. The shorter the time, the higher the success rate. The spirit will carry some of the corpse's memories from its previous life.

...(slightly)]

This was Fran's harvest these past few days; she not only earned a large amount of Gold Coin, but also learned the spells of the School she had always dreamed of.

Some of the spells were quite frightening. Fran still remembered that the Necromancy School had brought in a corpse and cast spells to Soul Creation on it.

Fran only gained these three points of proficiency by secretly using a hidden ring on a corpse once. After that, she didn't know how to practice the spell anymore, as she couldn't find any other corpses.

As for Belori's corpse, forget about it; creating one for the enemy's ghost would only cause trouble for yourself.

Then she took out two rings from her pocket. There were only two new spells today, but she liked both of them very much.

One was a Sword Dance Spell Ring that she had specially pestered Bela to make for her. It was a basic and signature skill of the Sword Chant School, loved by both apprentices and Formal Mage.

It seems she wasted her time; later that evening, someone from the Sword Chant School also asked her to do a Sword Dance.

Another one is the Poison Mist Spell from the Nature School. This spell is extremely sinister. As the name suggests, it involves spraying out a cloud of poisonous mist—yes, spraying it directly onto someone's face.

It has a wide range, and the opening move is so annoying that it can kill your opponent. There are no good ways to defend against it at the apprentice Order. If you can't defeat your opponent in a short time after inhaling the poison mist, you're basically doomed.

As the Radiance of the spell gathered and then dissipated, the glow on the two rings dimmed.

[Sword Dance (Beginner) (Proficiency: 3/10): Infuse your entire body with Mental Power, making the sword in your hand an extension of that Mental Power, thus improving your swordsmanship mastery.]

[Poison Mist Spell (Beginner) (Proficiency: 3/10): Sprays a cloud of poison mist forward. Targets inhaling the mist will gradually take damage. Using an antidote will remove the effects of the poison mist.]

She applied cooldown reduction runes to both rings, so now they can be reused in about an hour.

As for the waiting time, she only needs a small portion to finish writing the book, so she'll do that now.

After some time, when she placed the last symbol, nothing happened. She frowned in surprise and could only begin to tidy up the manuscript.

After stacking the manuscripts in order, she suddenly had a flash of insight.

She felt like she was climbing a three-step staircase, and now she had reached the First Order.

"Is this what my mentor meant by 'you'll know naturally once you achieve it'?"

She now knew what that feeling was, and she realized she was actually very close to the second step.

[Attributes: Constitution: 3.0, Spirit: 3.3]

These are her current attributes. Her constitution is increased by 0.2 because she finally reached the mastery level in Elven Swordsmanship.

She felt that her increased Mental Power was due to her recent studies and mastery of magic.

A normal person will learn at most five spells during the apprenticeship stage; learning more than that is meaningless.

She relied on the Panel, along with the numerous spells she obtained from the Spell Ring, to not only master each spell but also enhance her Mental Power.

She felt that if she mastered the three spells, her Mental Power would reach 3.5.

Based on her current feeling, 3.5 is the Mental Power requirement needed to advance to Formal Mage.

Once she steps over it, she'll have reached the second step.

If she completes this task, she won't need to participate in the assessment to obtain a ranking to complete the final test, and she can be promoted to Formal Mage much earlier.

As for the spells she wanted to create, she already had a clue and would be able to use them soon.

The question now is whether to create a spell and then directly advance to the rank of Formal Mage.

Or perhaps we should create one or two more spells to form a system, so that she can gain a specialty after becoming Formal Mage.

This specialization is likely to be a mechanical one, which was not previously available in the promotion process for Formal Mage.

Fran still prefers to establish a system before being promoted to Formal Mage.

First, she already had a concept, she had inspiration for both spells, and she believed that these two spells could definitely form a complete system, allowing her to obtain a specialty when she advanced in her career.

Secondly, she had heard that in the process of advancing to higher levels of mage, having the Talent to create New Spell could save a lot of effort.

She had already experimented with it; she could materialize books she had seen in her past life through Star Gazing Art, and could even materialize all the contents of a book just by seeing its cover.

If she continues to delve into mechanical magic based on her expertise, then the knowledge on Earth can provide her with endless 'inspiration'.

This will relieve her of worries about creating spells in the future, allowing her to progress faster in her future advancements.
