It formed a stark contrast with the surrounding icy environment. In this world of ice and snow, everything was shrouded in a cold white, with silence and frigidity as the eternal themes. In the distance, the rolling Ice Plain mountains stood like the spine of the earth, shimmering with a blinding, cold light under the sun—a radiance so icy and pure that it seemed capable of freezing all warmth in the world. The Ice Plain was vast and boundless, like a giant white canvas brushed recklessly by the pen of nature, devoid of a single speck of color. Bitter, biting winds howled past, whipping up the snow on the ground to form veils of mist that drifted across the plains like ghosts, emitting sharp, whistling cries as if recounting the loneliness and cruelty of this frozen world.
At this moment, however, the flames on the man's armor descended like a scorching sun. The red of the fire was a color brimming with vitality and power, creating an extreme contrast with the pallor of the ice and snow. Wherever the flames danced, the ice melted rapidly, forming pools of water that quickly evaporated under the high heat, rising as curling wisps of steam. These vapors permeated the air, mingling and colliding with the cold mist to create a hazy, fantastical scene, as if two opposing worlds were engaged in a silent contest.
The light emitted by the red gemstones embedded in the armor acted like sharp swords, piercing through the cold and silence of the icy world. Wherever the light reached, Ice Prisms began to dissolve and ice pillars cracked; the once-indestructible structures of ice and snow became fragile under the impact of the fiery radiance. Chunks of ice fell from heights, striking the ground with crisp sounds and splashing water, only for the droplets to be vaporized the instant they touched the flames, leaving behind only lingering wisps of white steam in the air.
The air around the man also became restless and dry due to the presence of the fire. The air, which had been bone-chillingly cold enough to freeze one's blood in an instant, was now heated by the flames, creating intense convection. Hot and cold air intertwined to produce gusts of wind, which swirled and danced while carrying fragments of ice and sparks of fire, composing a truly peculiar and spectacular scene.
Within this stark contrast, one could also observe subtle and marvelous changes. For instance, under the illumination of the flames, the crystalline structure of the ice and snow seemed to become more clearly visible; those tiny air bubbles and impurities originally hidden deep within were now highlighted one by one, as if the ice and snow were forced by the fire to reveal their most authentic selves. As for the flames themselves, surrounded by the cold air, their burning form became even more agile and varied, with the edges of the fire flickering and swaying as if engaged in a fierce dance with the frigid atmosphere.
This intense contrast was not merely reflected in visuals and sensations, but also contained a deeper confrontation and balance of power. Ice and snow symbolized tranquility, coldness, and eternal stillness, while fire represented vitality, heat, and endless change. Their meeting was like the collision of two opposing forces in the universe; after a brief conflict, they seemed to be quietly seeking a way to coexist harmoniously, much like the poles of Yin and Yang—opposing yet interdependent, together forming a part of this world filled with mystery and fantasy.
