Chen Ge and the Underworld Fetus were playing hide-and-seek across the entire city. The Underworld Fetus was in the shadows while Chen Ge was out in the open, and the situation left him deeply unsettled.
But Zhen Zhen's appearance gave Chen Ge hope that he might be able to change his circumstances, provided Jiang Long hadn't lied.
"Where is that child now?"
"I hid him. The police are looking for him, and so is another group of people in Han Jiang." Blood Threads writhed across Jiang Long's body, making for a nauseating sight.
"Another group?" Chen Ge perked up. He hadn't expected anyone else in Han Jiang to be interested in the Underworld Fetus.
"We saw him in Liwan Town. The corners of his mouth were split, and he always had a smile on his face. He wore a patient uniform under his coat."
"No-Smile!"
"Yes. I don't know if he was acting on his own or representing that cursed hospital in Xinhai." Jiang Long's voice gradually calmed. He seemed to have accepted that he had fallen into Chen Ge's hands and given up struggling.
"You know about the cursed hospital?" Chen Ge narrowed his eyes. "Are you deliberately deceiving me? Trying to make me focus on That Hospital?"
"There's no reason for me to lie to you. I risked entering your Haunted House today because I was already out of options." Jiang Long gave a bitter smile. "The police pursuit has left me barely able to breathe. But what truly drove me to despair was seeing No-Smile outside my apartment building the night before last. That lunatic was standing there. I saw him, and he saw me."
"I don't see how being desperate has anything to do with risking a trip into my Haunted House." Chen Ge had been
