Chen Ge and Wen Qing decided to look for Old Man Huang on the first floor. They walked through the gloomy corridor and reached the stairs.

Children's handprints remained on the red-painted iron railing. The stairwell twisted downward, and the steps were covered in blackish-red liquid that felt sticky underfoot.

The windows in the stairwell had been boarded up, with half-finger-long nails sticking out. A careless brush against one could tear the skin.

"This place is disgusting." Wen Qing was in a hurry to find Xiang Nuan, but even so, she frowned at the stairwell before them. "It feels like someone's always hauling piles of garbage up and down the stairs, leaving a trail behind."

"You're being too naïve. What kind of garbage could leave a blackish-red film like this on the floor?"

"Then what do you think caused it?" Wen Qing picked up the White Cat, seemingly afraid it might step in the disgusting blackish-red liquid.

"Badly wounded people or bleeding corpses could leave behind a layer of blood. Once the blood dried, it would slowly turn this color." Looking at the marks on the ground, Chen Ge was reminded for some reason of something that had happened long ago.

Back when the door in the Toilet Stall at the House of Horrors first started acting strangely, Chen Ge had once heard the sound of something heavy being dragged on the other side. An image had come to mind.

A deformed Monster with no visible face dragged a corpse with some kind of tool, across a long corridor and down the stairs.

"This place is getting more and more unsettling. Let's head to the third floor first. Be careful."

Chen Ge carried the Backpack, his nerves taut.

After turning the corner, Chen Ge had just reached the third floor
