Chen Ge hadn't expected everything to go so smoothly. He'd had his eye on the haunted house in Xinhai for a while, but even after Shangguan Qinghong was so badly frightened that he ended up in the hospital, he still hadn't been willing to sell it. He seemed to know that the land was rather unusual.
But happiness really could come out of nowhere. Chen Ge had no idea what had suddenly changed Shangguan Qinghong's mind.
"Maybe he realized how big the gap is between his haunted house and mine. I should visit him in the hospital if I get the chance."
Holding the contract, Chen Ge walked out of Director Luo's house. The park was almost closing for the day.
There were still plenty of visitors lined up outside the House of Horrors. Many had come from far away just to visit it, so they kept queuing in hopes of experiencing as many attractions as possible.
Among them were plenty of influencers and self-media creators. Chen Ge's haunted house gave them a wealth of material, and of course, they helped bring attention to it in return.
Other haunted houses would never allow people to come inside and film, but Chen Ge's was different.
Back in the Staff Break Room, Chen Ge put the contract away.
Director Luo had asked him to go to Xinhai as soon as possible and tell him if he needed anything, but Chen Ge wasn't ready to go there yet.
Han Jiang was where he'd grown up, and he felt a special attachment to the place. The city was full of strange tales, but whenever he set foot on its soil, he felt inexplicably at ease, as though some unseen force were protecting him.
Xinhai, on the other hand, was relatively unfamiliar to Chen Ge.
