"Does opening at night double the chances of encountering special visitors? Is the Black Phone encouraging me to open for night sessions?"
During the day, Vengeful Spirits could only hide beneath the Haunted House. Even Vengeful Spirits like Old Zhou and Duan Yue feared the sunlight and could appear for only a few minutes at a time—and they couldn't be exposed to the sun.
At night, Vengeful Spirits would no longer be restricted. The Haunted House would be several times scarier than it was during the day, not only because the surroundings changed, but also because most of Chen Ge's employees were real ghosts. The closer it got to midnight, the more active they became.
"The Door problem still hasn't been resolved. If a Vengeful Spirit sneaks in among the visitors and causes trouble, someone could easily get hurt."
Chen Ge wasn't ready to open for night sessions yet. After thinking it over for a moment, he dismissed the idea.
He took some cat food from the cabinet and lured the White Cat over. Then he scooped it into his arms. "Come on. Let's go check out the new scene."
The White Cat was highly sensitive to things like ghosts and Obsessions. Bringing it along would give Chen Ge an early warning and help him screen the new scene for unstable elements.
The White Cat was eating cat food and rubbing its head against Chen Ge's chest, still unaware of the danger. By the time it realized Chen Ge was planning to enter the underground scene, it would be too late to run.
"Look how fat you've gotten. If you don't get some exercise, we'll have to stop calling you White Tiger and start calling you White Pig."
He slung on his Backpack and opened the iron door leading underground.
