Qin Xi guided the rise of the Monster and Human Races, helped reshape the authority of the Sages and the Dao, and established new worlds. The volume ended with the Chaos Investiture of the Gods in preparation as the River of Time stirred and figures appeared ahead of their era.

Arc 5The Monster Court and New Disciples

After Hongjun’s lecture, Qin Xi’s influence helped the Monster Clan rise while the Six-Eared Macaque became his disciple and Nuwa discovered her path to Sagehood. The arc ended with Qin Xi accepting Nuwa and challenging Styx to kill a Sage before he could join the sect.

  • Ao Xin returned the Nine Heavens Breathing Soil and Gourd Vine to Qin Xi, who restored the vine and spread the soil across the Heavenly Dao Dojo.
  • Qin Xi guided Tai Yi and Di Qun toward the Law of Fire, suitable treasures, and the search for the Monster Clan’s Fortune, leading them to establish the Monster Clan Heavenly Court.
  • Tai Yi and Di Qun gathered the Monster Clan, formed the Celestial Star Formation, and welcomed powerful allies, including Dragon Gate representatives brought by Ao Xin.

Arc 6Sages and the Wu-Yao War

Nuwa became a Sage after creating humanity, while Fuxi was erased by Heavenly Dao Hongjun and later restored. As the Wu-Yao War escalated, Luo Hou intervened against the Pangu phantom, then sacrificed himself to establish the tribulations and repair the West.

  • Qin Xi told Styx that his path to Sagehood required him to kill a Sage, then sent him to prepare for the fleeting chance that would come when Houtu became a Sage.
  • Hongjun united with the Heavenly Dao, and the Three Pure Ones found treasures before Fuxi revealed Nuwa’s destined path to create a race and was annihilated by Zixiao Divine Thunder.
  • Nuwa asked Qin Xi to restore Fuxi, and he summoned Fuxi’s Spirit Soul and gave Nuwa the materials to create humanity.
  • Nuwa created the Human Race at the East Sea and became a Sage, while Qin Xi explained that Houtu’s future transformation into Reincarnation could allow Fuxi to return.
  • Luo Hou left The Valley, defeated Jieyin and Zhun Ti at Mount Sumeru, and joined the Chat Group’s new members as the Wu-Yao War began.

Arc 7The Rise of the Human Race

Qin Xi guided the Human Race, helped Styx attain Hunyuan, and arranged new roles for the clans, Sages, and Dao. The arc ended with Pingxin establishing reincarnation and Qin Xi sending the powerful beings to create life-bearing worlds in Chaos.

  • Hongjun stopped the Wu-Yao conflict for ten thousand years, and Qin Xi advised Styx to reach Quasi-Sage Peak and target Houtu as she attained Sagehood.
  • Qin Xi guided Laozi, Yuanshi, and Tongtian toward their Daos, while Styx created the Asura Clan and Duobao became Tongtian’s disciple.
  • Qin Xi and Nuwa visited the Human Race, where Sui made fire, Ziyi wove cloth, and Youchao built houses, earning Heavenly Dao Merit.
  • Qin Xi appointed Youchao, Sui, and Ziyi to lead the Human Race, while Houtu left the Wu Clan and Qin Xi warned Styx that his chance to attain Sagehood had come.

Arc 8Chaos Investiture of the Gods

Qin Xi established new worlds and withdrew his protection from the Human Race as Fuxi’s arrival and the coming war reshaped the Primordial World. He united the Three Books into the Chaos Investiture of the Gods, then watched its preparations unfold as the River of Time stirred and figures emerged ahead of their era.

  • Qin Xi led the Sages into Chaos, restored the Primordial World after his aura damaged it, and used Jianmu to support worlds opened by Laozi, Yuanshi, Tongtian, and others.
  • Qin Xi created routes through Jianmu for living beings to reach the new worlds, sent Fuxi’s Spirit Soul into Reincarnation, and withdrew his protection from the Human Race after ordering Youchao to make way for Suiren.
  • Youchao attacked the Five-Colored Pheasant Clan after a human was killed, while Qin Xi sent Styx to train Haoying, Zhuxiang, Lilu, and other youths near Fuxi’s future birthplace.
  • Qin Xi sent the Kongtong Seal and Bagua Diagram to the newborn Fuxi, then began gathering the Earth Book, Heavenly Book, and Life and Death Book to establish a new system of divine authority.
  • Qin Xi merged the Three Books into the Chaos Investiture of the Gods and declared that the Sages’ sects, the Wu Clan, the Monster Clan, the Human Race, and the Ten Thousand Races could compete for its offices.
  • The Sages prepared their disciples for the investiture as Houtu invited the Wu Clan to participate and Di Qun sent the Monster Clan into the Primordial World to fight the Wu Clan while avoiding the Human Race for now.
  • The River of Time appeared around the Primordial World, but Zhujiuyin could not use its guidance to become a Hunyuan Great Luo Golden Immortal because he lacked a Divine Soul.
  • More than a hundred lights entered the River of Humanity Dao, Taishang Laojun left a mark in the Investiture of the Gods, and Qin Xi told Zhenyuanzi that the early emergence of figures from the River of Time was inevitable.
