Background / History

Qian Anci is a transmigrator who arrived on the Douluo Continent as an infant. Qian Daoliu found him in ruins during Martial Soul Hall’s suppression of evil soul masters, adopted him, and spent six years using precious resources to strengthen his physique and aptitude. During that time, Anci’s soul housed a gray-white Underworld Wasteland and Xia Die, an Underworld Ferryman who became his sole companion. 1

At age six, he awakened the Scythe of Death and the bone dragon Polydeuces, possessing innate twentieth-level soul power. Xia Die fused with his soul during the awakening, binding herself to him through a contract to share the authority of Thanatos. 1

His Scythe of Death reacted violently to Qian Renxue’s Six-Winged Angel, establishing the incompatibility between holiness and death. Xia Die advised him to conceal Polydeuces as his hidden trump card while treating the scythe as his public martial soul. 2

After Di Tian abducted him to the Lake of Life, Gu Yuena interpreted his power as evidence of Dragon Clan bloodline.
