Haiye Takes Shape

Lin Hai, having just completed an ultra-long-distance teleportation, arrived with Yaoye—who was still feeling somewhat dizzy—and fifteen royal guards. They did not linger at the Xiao Clan, but instead performed another spatial shift, appearing instantly within the secret chamber at the very top of the Miteer Auction House in Wutan City.

As the spatial fluctuations subsided, Haibodong, who had been waiting in the chamber, sensed the movement. He turned immediately, and upon seeing Lin Hai accompanied by the cold, noble, and breathtakingly beautiful young woman in fitted armor, a flash of realization crossed his eyes. He bowed at once: "My Lord!"

The fifteen royal guards, all at the peak of the Great Spirit Master realm, only just managed to suppress the intense discomfort brought on by the spatial transit. They quickly reformed their ranks and stood at attention behind Yaoye, though the shock in their eyes remained long after.

They looked at Lin Hai with the same awe one might reserve for a deity.

"This is the eldest princess of the Gama Empire, Yaoye," Lin Hai introduced her to Haibodong with concise brevity, then turned his gaze to Yaoye. "This is Haibodong, the former Ice Emperor of the Gama Empire, who now serves me as well. The two of you will be jointly responsible for the operations of a new organization."

Yaoye felt a jolt of surprise; she had not expected this elder, who possessed such an extraordinary aura, to be the long-missing Ice Emperor, Haibodong!

She dared not be negligent and gave a slight nod toward Haibodong. "Yaoye greets Elder Hai," she said, her posture neither servile nor overbearing.

Haibodong nodded in return. "Your Highness."

Lin Hai continued, "The new organization shall be named 'Haiye,' taking one character from each of your names. Its sole mission is not to involve itself in imperial disputes, but to search for detailed intelligence, clues, and even the precise locations of the various 'Heavenly Flames' scattered throughout the entire Northwest Continent."

"Heavenly Flames?" Yaoye and Haibodong were both startled, their expressions turning grave. They were well aware of what kind of heaven-defying treasures these flames were; every piece of information regarding them was worth a fortune, and the difficulty of searching for them was immense.

"The members of the organization will be selected primarily from the Gama royal guards and the elites of the Miteer Clan. Haibodong, you are responsible for integrating the personnel and intelligence networks of the Miteer Clan. Yaoye, you will coordinate the personnel from the royal side and work with Haibodong to formulate search plans and analyze the gathered intelligence," Lin Hai stated, clarifying their roles.

"Understood, My Lord!" the two replied in unison, instantly grasping the importance of this organization and the heavy responsibility Lin Hai had entrusted to them.

"The initial search range will focus on the Northwest Continent, but we will inevitably need to venture into other regions later, so you must keep your sights long-term. The process will certainly be fraught with danger," Lin Hai said, taking out the dozens of sound-transmission jades he had already refined and handing them to Yaoye.

"These are sound-transmission jades; a drop of blood is all that is needed to establish a preliminary bond. With these, members of the organization can communicate with one another, facilitating your command, coordination, and the relaying of intelligence."

Yaoye took the warm, smooth jades, which hummed with strange spatial fluctuations, and felt a renewed sense of shock at Lin Hai's capabilities.

Each of these alchemical items was incredibly precious, yet the Lord had produced over a dozen of them as if they were nothing!

"Furthermore," Lin Hai added, "you shall begin by consolidating your manpower here to build the initial framework and devise your search strategies. You must make full use of the Miteer Clan's commercial network and the royal family's intelligence channels."

His gaze swept over the fifteen guards, whose eyes burned with fervor.

"Their current strength is far from sufficient. I will prepare a batch of medicinal pills to assist Great Spirit Masters in breaking through to the Spirit realm, as well as some protective jades capable of defense, offense, and short-range teleportation. Once they are ready, I will have them delivered to ensure their safety and efficiency."

Upon hearing this, not only did the breathing of the fifteen Great Spirit Masters grow heavy as their eyes erupted with ecstatic, disbelieving light, but even Yaoye and Haibodong felt their hearts tremble!

"Many thanks, My Lord!" the group bowed again, their morale instantly soaring to its peak.

"Begin as soon as possible." Having delivered his final instructions, Lin Hai's figure seemed to dissolve into water, slowly fading from the secret chamber and leaving behind a stirred Yaoye, Haibodong, and fifteen royal guards who were already rolling up their sleeves, ready to make their mark.

Haibodong and Yaoye exchanged a glance, both seeing the gravity and excitement in the other's eyes.

"Your Highness, let us begin," Haibodong said in a deep voice.

"Please, Elder Hai," Yaoye nodded, her decisive and efficient nature immediately coming to the fore.

From this moment on, "Haiye," a precision machine built specifically for Lin Hai to hunt for Heavenly Flames, officially began its operation from the top floor of the Miteer Auction House in Wutan City.
