Tang Ya's Earnest Invitation, the Castrated Mysterious Heaven Skill
"By the way, Brother Sky Dream, if possible, could the First Soul Ring you bestowed upon me appear as a yellow hundred-year Soul Ring? A million-year Soul Ring might be too flashy. This little body of mine can't handle that right now."
"That's possible." Sky Dream Ice Silkworm spoke with some difficulty. "But if I expend power to disguise it, the Soul Ring's original effects may not be as good. You should know that I carefully adjusted it according to your current physical condition."
"It's fine. We can conceal it for now. I can't be too conspicuous out here, after all."
"Fine, fine. It's just a pity that my power has to be spent on something like this again."
Only after hearing Sky Dream Ice Silkworm agree did Huo Yuhao nod in satisfaction. He had no desire to be like the original Huo Yuhao, walking around every day with a white First Soul Ring, getting humiliated before showing off. That would be far too much of a waste of time and energy.
Then, with Sky Dream Ice Silkworm's help, Huo Yuhao felt as though his "body" had been pulled by something and left the Spiritual Sea.
Opening his eyes, Huo Yuhao looked around. Everything was still a riot of colors, but his body no longer hurt. Sky Dream Ice Silkworm had probably healed him.
What the hell? Why is it still like this? Don't tell me I'm actually blind.
Thinking this helplessly, Huo Yuhao heard another cry of alarm. He then saw two masses of gas rapidly approaching him, saying something as they flew closer.
"Ah! We're too late! Little Brother Yuhao seems to have been attacked. These Soul Beasts are getting more and more arrogant. They've actually come out of the Star Dou Great Forest!"
One of the gas-like figures suddenly accelerated, only stopping when it reached Huo Yuhao's side.
Before the other party could come closer, Huo Yuhao raised a hand and waved it, indicating that he was fine.
At the same time, he looked at his outstretched hand. Yes, just like theirs, it was made of gas.
So the problem was not with them, but with himself. After integrating the original owner's memories, Huo Yuhao had already grasped how to use Martial Souls and Soul Power.
Huo Yuhao finally "closed" his Spirit Eyes, and his vision returned to normal.
The gas beside him turned into a young girl with delicate, exquisite features. She was vibrant and youthful, pretty and adorable. If she were on Earth, she would definitely be a rare beauty. Yet in Huo Yuhao's eyes, her beauty seemed so unreal.
What decent person had skin and hair that glowed?!
Though she had no idea what Huo Yuhao was thinking, Tang Ya anxiously asked, "Little Yuhao, are you all right? Are you hurt? Why are your clothes all torn up?"
"If I hadn't insisted on washing my face and hands, we wouldn't have been delayed. If something had happened to you because of that, Little Yuhao, I'd never forgive myself."
Seeing Tang Ya's anxiety, Huo Yuhao, unsure how to respond, could only smile awkwardly. "Sister Tang, aren't I fine?"
What's going on? Why is Tang Ya so worked up? Didn't Tang Ya and Huo Yuhao only meet not long ago in his memories?
Without time to think it over, Huo Yuhao only wanted to deal with Tang Ya first, then find time to organize his thoughts and make plans for the future.
Beibei, who had first gone to inspect the Wind Baboon's injuries, watched the interaction between Huo Yuhao and Tang Ya with a gentle gaze.
Only when he saw Tang Ya at a loss did he step forward and say, "Teacher Little Ya, don't worry. Isn't Yuhao in pretty good condition now?"
"Carefully use your Soul Power to sense the circulation of Bloodline Power and the Soul Power aura within his body. They're both very stable, with no abnormalities. He probably fainted only after the Wind Baboon slammed him into a tree trunk."
Huo Yuhao nodded and said somewhat embarrassedly, "That's right. It was too reckless of me to come to the Star Dou Great Forest alone this time. Thank you, Brother Bei and Sister Tang, for worrying about me."
"If Mother hadn't left me a weapon to save my life, I really would have been in danger this time."
As he spoke, Huo Yuhao felt a surge of sorrow in his heart, as if tears were about to spill from his eyes. He did not suppress them, instead letting the tears flow naturally.
He knew it was the original owner's lingering obsession at work, but he truly had taken away that person's future. Resolving the obsession he had left behind was also something Huo Yuhao wished to accomplish.
Seeing Huo Yuhao's sorrow, Tang Ya hurriedly said, "Little Yuhao, are you okay? I didn't mean to bring up something painful."
"I'm fine, Sister Tang. Thank you for coming to check on me. Is there anything else? If not, I'll be leaving first." After wiping away the tears at the corners of his eyes and regaining his composure, Huo Yuhao spoke to Tang Ya.
Tang Ya immediately said, "Little Yuhao, would you like to join our sect?"
After meeting Huo Yuhao and eating his grilled fish, Tang Ya had developed a powerful urge to recruit him into the Tang Sect.
Though Beibei had teased her, saying she only wanted him because his grilled fish tasted good, Tang Ya was serious.
For some reason, she had an intuition that as long as Huo Yuhao joined the Tang Sect, she would certainly be able to restore the sect to prosperity one day.
So when she saw Huo Yuhao about to leave, she could no longer restrain her thoughts and extended the invitation.
Beibei, standing beside her, was somewhat helpless. At this point, he could not understand what Tang Ya was trying to do. Before accepting someone into the sect, even if the Tang Sect was in dire straits, they should at least conduct some screening.
They should examine the person's aptitude, character, background, and so on. They could not just accept every stray cat and dog into the sect.
The two of them were still part of Shrek Academy and could be considered outstanding students. Though there was admittedly a bit of leniency involved in Tang Ya entering Shrek Academy with her Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul.
But to encounter a random boy on the road, without even knowing whether he had another affiliation or how talented he was, and immediately ask him to join the sect—wasn't that a little too reckless?
Huo Yuhao was also stunned upon hearing this. He then put on a puzzled expression. "A sect? What sect?"
Seriously? I still can't escape this? But should I join? If I don't go to Shrek, would Sun Moon be better?
But Huo Yuhao's memories don't include a map of the route to Sun Moon. Would something happen on the way if I really went? And it would be troublesome for someone from the Original Three Douluo Kingdoms to join the Sun Moon Empire.
Huo Yuhao fell into thought. At this point in time on the Douluo Continent, the only places truly worth going to were the Sun Moon Empire and Shrek Academy.
The Sun Moon Empire had abundant resources. However, because of his origins, even if his research into Soul Tools gave him a unique advantage and caught the Sun Moon Empire's attention, it would likely take quite some time before he found a chance to join them.
Shrek Academy was rather awful, but it was still the Number One Academy on the Continent and had long enjoyed a prestigious reputation. Moreover, given the original plotline, it would be easier for him to gain benefits there.
As for the Body Sect, which suited Huo Yuhao best? The Body Sect was a hidden sect that had always been elusive. Even if he wanted to wait for them to come and accept him as a disciple, he would first have to make a name for himself.
Otherwise, the chances of that sect, with only a few members wandering the continent, happening to find him were simply too low.
And it would waste too much time for growth. Although Huo Yuhao's aptitude was poor, he could at least still cultivate. Once he missed the ideal age for cultivation and his meridians fully took shape, there were ways to correct them, but it would be far too troublesome.
He had only recently arrived in this world and was still unfamiliar with everything. Rather than try an unknown path, he might as well follow the original trajectory for now and slowly seek opportunities afterward.
Having made up his mind, Huo Yuhao began waiting for Tang Ya's response.
At that moment, Beibei pulled Tang Ya aside. "Little Ya, have you really thought this through? You want to bring Little Brother Huo into the Tang Sect? Don't tell me it really is because his grilled fish tastes good."
Tang Ya pursed her lips. "No. Look, Little Yuhao came to the Star Dou Great Forest alone, and he was so sad when he mentioned his mother. On top of that, he's so young. He probably doesn't belong to any other sect or faction."
"Otherwise, even if he were attending an academy, a teacher would have accompanied him to help hunt Soul Beasts."
"We've waited here for so long, yet none of Little Yuhao's elders have come. And just as you said before—"
"Little Yuhao is so mature and so brave. He's clearly a good prospect. Besides, didn't you agree before?"
Beibei's mouth twitched. "Fine. Teacher Little Ya, you're the sect master, so I can't say much if you insist. But we should at least perform the most basic assessment, right? Leave the rest to me. Don't speak for now."
Beibei then walked over to Huo Yuhao and said, "Our sect is called the Tang Sect, the Tang Sect that was once the number one sect on the continent. But today, the Tang Sect has declined and no longer possesses its former glory."
"Teacher Little Ya and I are the Tang Sect's last disciples. Teacher Little Ya is the final sect master of the Tang Sect."
At this point, Beibei's tone grew more solemn as he continued, "Though our Tang Sect has declined, the cultivation methods passed down by our ancestors still remain."
"And since it was once the number one sect on the continent, it still possesses some foundations. We can provide you with cultivation resources and an environment for training. If you are willing, you can also use the Tang Sect's qualifications to study at Shrek Academy, the Number One Academy on the Continent."
"So the question I wish to ask you, Little Brother Huo, is this: are you willing to join the Tang Sect and take on the responsibility of reviving it?"
"Joining a sect is no small matter. Though the Tang Sect has waned, it was once the number one sect in the world."
"If you regret it in the future and wish to betray the sect, neither Tang Ya nor I will forgive you."
"I've said all that needs to be said. I hope you will consider it carefully, Little Brother Huo."
Behind Beibei, Tang Ya looked at Huo Yuhao with a trace of anticipation. For some reason, her desire for Huo Yuhao to join the Tang Sect was growing stronger and stronger. She feared he would refuse her now.
"Mm." Huo Yuhao nodded. "Brother Bei, Sister Tang, may I think it over?"
"Of course. This is an important matter, and you should consider it carefully. I still need to take Teacher Little Ya hunting for a Soul Ring. Little Brother Huo, would you like to come with us? We can send you back to the city later."
Huo Yuhao nodded. At the same time, Beibei took out a set of clothes. "They won't fit very well, but Little Brother Huo, make do with them for now."
Taking the clothes and draping them over himself, Huo Yuhao set off deeper into the Star Dou Great Forest with Beibei and Tang Ya.
Only now did Huo Yuhao finally have time to sort through the information he had gained since arriving in this world, including the Soul Skills Sky Dream Ice Silkworm had bestowed upon him, as well as the changes that had occurred in his Spirit Eyes Martial Soul after his transmigration.
After all, he did not believe that the world seen through the original Spirit Eyes Martial Soul had looked like this. There was a high chance that his arrival had caused the Spirit Eyes Martial Soul to undergo some further mutation.
They walked and stopped along the way. Huo Yuhao activated his Spirit Eyes Martial Soul and barely managed to keep up with Beibei and Tang Ya with the physical enhancement granted by his Martial Soul. But if the two of them had not gone easy on him, he would have had an even harder time with his current cultivation.
Yet because of this, Huo Yuhao gradually came to understand the abilities his Martial Soul now possessed.
Setting aside the four Soul Skills bestowed upon him by Sky Dream Ice Silkworm, compared to the Spirit Eyes in Huo Yuhao's memories, his current Spirit Eyes had undergone an earth-shaking transformation. They could no longer even be called Spirit Eyes.
Perhaps due to the influence of being a visitor from another world, everything Huo Yuhao saw through his Spirit Eyes was broken down layer by layer and analyzed into numerous minute levels.
For instance, Beibei and Tang Ya, as well as Huo Yuhao himself, were all dismantled in the Spirit Eyes' vision into extremely minute, deepest-level structures. Only under Huo Yuhao's focused control would those layers overlap and be altered.
Huo Yuhao called the deepest level the soul. By observing himself, he could perceive subtle, fundamental differences between his soul and those of Beibei and Tang Ya.
Beibei and Tang Ya's souls also differed in many ways, but it was clear that they existed on the same level.
Moreover, there seemed to be a faint blue-gold glow around Tang Ya's soul, near her head. Huo Yuhao did not know what it was, so he could only memorize the structure that formed the blue-gold radiance for now.
Aside from its ability to analyze structures, Huo Yuhao discovered that after activating his Spirit Eyes, he seemed to possess an eidetic memory. No matter what kind of structure it was, those eyes could easily record it and store it deep within his Spiritual Sea.
Beyond the soul layer lay the spirit, and beyond that were the body's various structures. For example, after making adjustments, Huo Yuhao could now clearly see the flow of Soul Power and Bloodline Power within Beibei and Tang Ya's bodies.
So this is the so-called Mysterious Heaven Skill? It does look quite a bit better than the most basic Soul Power circulation method I have.
But it seems the Soul Power circulation deliberately avoids some of the body's meridians and acupoints, without interacting with the Bloodline Power there. It looks like this portion was castrated by Tang San.
