Konoha's small grove was where Taiichi and his Companions used to train after school before he graduated.
When Taiichi arrived at the grove, he discovered Might Guy training inside. Guy was punching a thick tree over and over. Every blow made the tree shake violently, sending leaves raining down from its branches.
"Guy, if you keep hitting it, that tree's going to break. You'll need to find an even thicker one," Taiichi called from afar. They had only been apart for a few months, yet seeing Guy again filled Taiichi with overwhelming excitement.
Hearing his voice, Guy abruptly turned around. When he saw Taiichi, he even rubbed his eyes hard, as if afraid he was hallucinating.
"Taiichi, it really is you!" Guy rushed over to him. "Ahahaha! Youth has not disappointed me after all! Seeing you has made my hot blood boil completely!"
Looking at the so-excited Guy, Taiichi broke out in a cold sweat despite already being familiar with his passionate theories.
"Alright, Guy. How have you been lately? Is everyone else in the class doing well?" Taiichi hurriedly changed the subject. Based on past experience, if he let Guy continue, they would definitely end up having a match.
But Taiichi had just used up a massive amount of chakra saving Sanae Shinkawa, then rushed back to Konoha. He had not recovered much at all. How could he have the strength to spar?
"Everyone's doing great! Oh, right, Taiichi, we're having a gathering tomorrow. Kakashi will be there too. We were worried because you weren't around, but it turns out you can make it just in time." Guy happily invited Taiichi, completely unaware that Taiichi had led him off topic.
"Ah, there's no class tomorrow?" Taiichi asked in surprise.
"Tomorrow's the weekend!" This time, Guy was the surprised one.
