Hong Dou's Frustration

Xuanye stood up and took stock of the power coursing through his body. He said to Katsuyu:

"Thank you for all your help, Sage Katsuyu."

Katsuyu waved her feelers, and her ethereal voice sounded beside Xuanye's ear.

"Are you getting ready to return to Konoha?"

Xuanye nodded. "I've basically mastered Senjutsu now. All that's left is getting used to this sudden surge in power."

"There's something else, Sage Katsuyu. You've been around for so long, and I'd like to ask you a few things."

Sage Katsuyu sounded curious. "What would you like to ask, Lord Xuanye?"

Xuanye grew serious. "You know about the Otsutsuki from beyond the stars, don't you? Another one came to this planet with Kaguya Otsutsuki. His name was Isshiki."

"He's incredibly strong—even stronger than Kaguya Otsutsuki. But he didn't die after she ambushed him back then. He's been hiding somewhere in the Ninja World, quietly recovering from his injuries."

"Do you know where he is?"

If Xuanye wanted the Divine Tree to bear fruit without causing irreversible damage to the planet, he needed to hunt more Otsutsuki.

These ancient beings had lived for ages. Surely they knew a few clues.

After all, Natural Energy was most abundant in the Three Sacred Lands. Any Otsutsuki trying to plunder the entire planet's Natural Energy was practically their mortal enemy.

Of all places, the Three Sacred Lands had the least reason to stop Xuanye from hunting the Otsutsuki.

Sage Katsuyu moved her feelers and said hesitantly:

"You've caught me off guard with that question. I don't pay much attention to news from the outside world."

"I vaguely remember the person you're talking about, but I truly didn't know he was still alive, let alone where he is now."

Just as Xuanye began to feel disappointed, Sage Katsuyu changed tack.
