Genichi and his two companions went straight into the castle to find Toneri, only then dispelling the Sage Art that had kept them hidden.
"Who are you people!" Otsutsuki Toneri was startled by the sudden appearance of the three. Although he was born without eyes, he was not without means to perceive the outside world.
With a whoosh, Genichi tossed a token directly to Toneri and spoke with cold indifference: "This is Otsutsuki Hamura's token. To see the token is to see the man himself. Descendant of the Otsutsuki, why do you not bow upon seeing your ancestor's envoy?"
Toneri was filled with disbelief. Still young, he felt the authentic token in his hand, unsure for a moment whether he should berate these sudden intruders or welcome the envoy of his ancestor.
"What is your true purpose?" After a period of silence, Toneri stopped struggling and asked directly.
"We have come to correct your misguided philosophy. Child, you have misinterpreted the final wishes of your ancestor, Hamura," Genichi replied calmly.
"Impossible! The Ninja World is already filthy and must be thoroughly cleansed. That is the reason for the Otsutsuki clan's existence; that is my destiny!" Toneri retorted loudly.
Hearing this, Genichi was not in a hurry. He had long anticipated how difficult Toneri would be to deal with, so he explained slowly: "The point of reshaping the Ninja World with the Fist of the Moon is to reshape it—implying a brand new and complete world, not merely bringing about destruction."
"How could you possibly know the ancestor's final wishes?" Toneri found it inconceivable; it was impossible for an outsider to understand them so clearly.
"I have already told you, I am Hamura's envoy. It is precisely because he learned of the clan's current errors that he sent me here to correct them."
Toneri gripped the token tightly, and after a long while, he said with difficulty: "If the ancestor is still alive, why didn't he step forward to stop the rebellion twelve years ago? Back then, everyone..."
"It is precisely because he believed in you that he would not interfere with your actions. I never expected that you would eventually go down such a misguided path," Genichi noted his hesitation.
"The Ninja World has been plagued by endless wars for years, filled with slaughter between people. Someone even secretly stole the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path that the Otsutsuki clan has guarded and sealed for generations! What value is there in a Ninja World that isn't destroyed?" Recalling his father's expectations, Toneri's face twisted; the Otsutsuki branch family had already sacrificed too much for this cause.
"You think the Ninja World has no value? Then why not go see it for yourself? To fully master the power of the Tenseigan, you still need a pair of pure Byakugan, don't you?" Knowing Toneri was already wavering, Genichi hurriedly added:
"I can arrange for you to go to the Hyuga clan and collect a pair of Byakugan for you. The Ninja World will be in turmoil for the next few years. Whether you want to protect it or destroy it, make your decision after you truly understand it."
Toneri lowered his head and thought to himself: I am no match for this person without my eyes, and awakening the Tenseigan takes time.
Besides, the princess of the Byakugan is also in the Hyuga clan. I might as well go to the Ninja World and take a look. Since he is the ancestor's envoy, he surely won't harm me.
"Then we shall do as you say, Envoy." Having regained his composure, Toneri maintained the arrogance unique to the Otsutsuki clan.
Genichi laughed. "Then let's go. First, take me to retrieve the purple Tenseigan."
"What! You actually dare to covet our clan's treasure!" Toneri's composure shattered in an instant.
"Ahem, this is part of Lord Hamura's plan," Genichi explained slowly.
"With the golden Tenseigan, you have enough to awaken the true Tenseigan. There are many threats hidden in the Ninja World; this purple Tenseigan should also serve its proper purpose."
Caught in hesitation, Toneri sensed the immense power contained within Genichi and the faint smile on his face, and finally agreed:
"It doesn't matter. As long as I successfully awaken the Tenseigan, everything will be fine. I will personally wash away today's humiliation."
"Haha, that's the spirit."
Without anyone to control it, it was ultimately just a dead object. Combining the information on the Tenseigan he had collected from the Otsutsuki library, Genichi slightly modified the Eight-Trigrams Seal and took it directly into his body.
Toneri, standing to the side, couldn't help but swallow hard as he watched this. Although he had a premonition, seeing Genichi take the Tenseigan into his body still shocked him deeply.
One had to realize that this was the ultimate weapon, crafted from the combined Byakugan of the entire branch family, capable of firing terrifying purple chakra beams and completely overthrowing the main family.
After finishing, Genichi asked: "Is the material backed up, Toneri?"
"It is already done. The information you wanted is all here."
Much of the information Hamura had given was one-of-a-kind. Since Genichi couldn't just take it all away, he had Toneri use a puppet to make a copy.
After sealing everything into a scroll and keeping it close to his person, Genichi smiled at the group:
"Target: Konoha in the Ninja World. Let's go!"
Just as they were about to pass through the spatial barrier, Genichi suddenly turned back and shouted loudly:
"Senior Hamura, the task I promised you is complete. In our world, the Otsutsuki main and branch families haven't had a civil war yet. If I have the chance, I will stop them, so rest easy!"
"Ah? You aren't even from this Ninja World!" Toneri was horrified, his already fair complexion turning even paler. "Have I been deceived? What have I done?"
"Child, go to the Ninja World and take a good look. Your future must ultimately be decided by yourselves; do not cling to the last words of a dead man like me."
Without appearing, Hamura's gentle voice drifted through the air.
Outside the cave, the air was fresh; it was early morning.
"This is just too amazing. Not only did we travel through time and space, but we also went to the moon and met the brother of the Sage of Six Paths from a thousand years ago," Mikoto exclaimed.
Genichi smiled and replied: "What comes next will be even more amazing. Although they are two different worlds, their general development is very similar. We might even run into some old friends from decades later."
"Genichi, will we meet our future selves later?" Hana stood beside Genichi with a smile on her lips. Since the Curse Mark had been removed, there was no need to suppress the feelings in her heart any longer.
Slowly shaking his head, Genichi said: "Remember Yamato? That Wood Style ninja from last time? Judging by his habits, he should be an Anbu elite, yet he didn't recognize me. That's very strange. Perhaps I don't exist in this world, or I died in some corner long ago."
"Don't worry too much about it. After all, the worlds are different, and people won't be exactly the same."
"Let's go, I can't wait!"
Since arriving in the Ninja World, Genichi had been doing quite well. However, due to a traveler's grasp of the plot, he had always been cautious and had not interfered much with the direction of major events.
Now that he had achieved success in his cultivation and stood at the pinnacle of the Ninja World, and given that this wasn't his own world and he could leave at any time, the soul of a prankster within him began to grow uncontrollably.
