"Lord Frieza!"
Just then, Cui entered at a brisk pace, having received his orders. He knelt before Frieza and bowed.
Cui was a strange frog-like member of an alien race, and he had formidable fighting power.
In the original story, Cui's power had been on par with Vegeta's. As adults, they had both been around 18,000.
After Vegeta went to Earth and recovered from his serious injuries, his power rose to 24,000. On Namek, he easily killed Cui in an instant.
"Follow Vegeta and the others' spaceship. Once they reach Planet Beast, secretly eliminate the three Saiyans besides Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz, and Soya," Frieza ordered.
"Yes, Lord Frieza!" Cui answered at once.
"Lord Frieza... weren't you going to eliminate the other four Saiyans besides Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz?" Berryblue asked, momentarily taken aback.
"Berryblue, don't you think that Saiyan named Soya is rather interesting?" Frieza said with a faint smile.
"You're absolutely right, Lord Frieza!" Berryblue's eyes lit up.
"Let him live. He can tell me jokes when I'm bored." Frieza let out a series of strange laughs. "I'd like to see how that low-class warrior named Kakarot is going to become a Super Saiyan!"
"I'd love to see that, too." Berryblue smiled even more brightly. "Lord Frieza, please let me laugh for one more minute!"
"You can laugh, but no farting!" Frieza's face darkened.
"Whoosh!"
After Soya and the others' spaceship had traveled a great distance, Cui set off in his spherical mini-spaceship.
"Hahaha, Soya, you're hilarious!" Raditz laughed even harder. "You're saying my useless little brother will become a Super Saiyan one day? Give me a break!"
"That's the funniest joke I've ever heard!" Nappa laughed wildly.
"Soya, I get it now! You low-class warrior want to make a comeback and become a Super Saiyan?" Carnegie roared with laughter.
"Even if someone's going to make a comeback, shouldn't we middle-class warriors be the first?" Kuri joined in, laughing aloud.
"Exactly!" Baru nodded over and over.
"Who are you guys?" Soya asked, momentarily confused. He looked at the three of them. "What were your names again?"
"Negative Emotion Points +222 from Carnegie!"
"From..."
The three gritted their teeth and said their names again.
"Got it." Soya nodded.
"Soya, tell us what you think about Super Saiyans." Nappa suddenly grew interested and smiled at him.
After all, the trip from here to Planet Beast would take at least a week.
It was boring aboard the spaceship, so it made sense to find something to do.
And in particular, when they had nothing better to do, humiliating this low-class warrior seemed like a pretty good way to pass the time.
Vegeta hadn't said anything, but he cast a cold glance at Soya, wanting to hear his thoughts on Super Saiyans.
"Super Saiyans, huh..." Soya took a deep breath, then removed the Scouter from his eye and switched it off.
Vegeta and the others were momentarily puzzled by what Soya had done.
"This is too secret to let anyone else hear. It stays between us," Soya said with a grin.
"Hmph. You make it sound like you really know the secret of Super Saiyans!" Nappa rolled his eyes and sneered. "I'm definitely not taking off my Scouter!"
"Neither am I!" Raditz chimed in.
The three boys from Carnegie's group all agreed.
Vegeta didn't say a word. He thought of Frieza's spaceship, silently removed his Scouter, and pressed the power button.
It wasn't that Vegeta was deliberately going along with Soya.
He just didn't want that guy Frieza listening in on their people's conversation.
Though Vegeta didn't think Soya's ideas about Super Saiyans would be anything special.
"Prince Vegeta has taken off his Scouter. Are you guys still going to keep yours on?" Soya said with a grin, looking utterly smug.
Nappa and Raditz stiffened. They glanced at Vegeta, their expressions changing.
Prince Vegeta, why are you cooperating with this guy so much?
And Soya's bootlicking was truly something else.
"Negative Emotion Points +555 from Nappa!"
"Negative Emotion Points +666 from Raditz!"
"Negative Emotion Points +777 from Raditz Carnegie!"
"Negative Emotion Points +788 from Vegeta!"
Vegeta was a little annoyed.
This guy was using me to make his point!
Nappa and the others had no choice but to take off their Scouters and switch them off. They wanted to see what Soya could possibly say about Super Saiyans.
As if you know anything about Super Saiyans!
"First, let's get one thing straight." Soya smiled mysteriously at Vegeta and the others.
"What?" Nappa asked.
"Do you think Super Saiyans are born that way, or are they something else?" Soya asked with a smile.
"I thought you were going to say something important. What's there to discuss? Even I know that only one Super Saiyan, the mightiest warrior in the universe, appears every thousand years!" Raditz rolled his eyes and snorted.
"Raditz is right. According to legend, a Legendary Super Saiyan appears only once every thousand years!" Nappa nodded. "The last one appeared exactly a thousand years ago, so one of us Saiyans will definitely become a Super Saiyan in the next few years."
"What if... the Legendary Super Saiyan and an ordinary Super Saiyan are two different things?" Soya said with a grin, sharing his theory.
"What are you talking about?" Nappa couldn't take it anymore and argued back. "How come I've never heard that there are ordinary Super Saiyans and Legendary Super Saiyans?"
"You've never heard of it because you're ignorant!" Soya said with an unconcerned smile.
"You... What did you say? Say that again!" Nappa jumped to his feet and cracked his knuckles, ready to go over and beat Soya up.
"You asked me to say it." Soya wasn't afraid in the slightest. "You're ignorant, and that's that. It's not like anyone's laughing at you!"
Nappa glared at him and stepped forward.
"Negative Emotion Points +888 from Nappa!"
"Stop!" Vegeta couldn't stand it anymore. He snorted and spoke coldly.
Nappa froze and hurriedly stopped.
"Keep going, Soya." Vegeta seemed very interested in what Soya had to say about Super Saiyans.
"According to legend, a Legendary Super Saiyan appears only once every thousand years. But as for ordinary Super Saiyans, I think any Saiyan can become one as long as they master the trick. It shouldn't be too difficult." Soya smiled and spoke plainly.
