King Cold's Assault

October 1st.

8:00 AM.

King Cold led his massive army to the outer space of Planet Saiyan.

King Cold was an old fox; despite having arrived at Planet Saiyan, he was in no hurry to descend.

Inside one of the large starships.

"Report to the King: the energy readings on Planet Vegeta are not strong. The highest is only 12,000 in combat power, while the others are around 1."

King Cold, watching Planet Saiyan through the ship's window, furrowed his brows. "Kurizu, are you certain?"

The person who had just reported was named Kurizu, a frog-man who served as King Cold's personal intelligence officer.

Upon hearing this, King Cold's brows locked even tighter.

For some reason, he felt a lingering sense of unease. The Saiyans clearly possessed the combat power to kill Frieza, yet it could not be detected now.

The detection results remained identical to the intelligence he had previously gathered on the Saiyans; there had been no change whatsoever!

This left him deeply puzzled. Could it be that the method used to kill Frieza was merely some sort of special trick?

And could this special trick only be used once?

"Reporting to the King, your subordinate has sent people to scan multiple times, and the results are exactly the same!" Kurizu replied firmly.

He firmly believed that the scouters could not be wrong.

Having followed King Cold across the universe for many years, the scouters had never failed him.

Even so, King Cold pondered for a moment and issued an order that no one present could understand.

"Kurizu, receive the order!"

"This subordinate is here!"

"I order you: when we officially engage the Saiyans shortly, you are not to follow us down. Stay on the ship and monitor the Saiyans' combat power. If the worst should happen, remember, you must transmit the data to my eldest son, Cooler. Do you hear me clearly?"

"Ah? Yes! This subordinate hears you clearly, but King, the Saiyans' maximum combat power is only 12,000. Is there any need for us to be this cautious?"

"Do not ask why! Just carry out the order!"

Every single Saiyan combatant transformed into their Great Ape form.

Thousands of Saiyan Great Apes scrambled to fly upward, charging straight into the clouds.

Even while transformed into Great Apes, the Saiyans were still able to control the magnitude of their Ki.

This led Kurizu, who remained on the ship, to look at the detection results and conclude that the Saiyans would surely be wiped out, and that King Cold would certainly avenge King Frieza.

"The King is being far too cautious! Even as monkeys, the Saiyans only have 120,000 combat power; they are far from being a match for Zofield and the others!" Kurizu sneered.

However, he hadn't been happy for more than a few seconds when he heard his subordinates shouting in a panic.

"Lord Kurizu, it's bad! Our soldiers are suffering heavy casualties! And the scouter has suddenly detected a combat power of 800 million below!"

"Lord Kurizu, it's bad! The King's combat power data can no longer be detected!"

"What?!!!"

Kurizu completely lost his composure. His already large eyes widened further, filled with terror, and cold sweat poured out frantically.

For a moment, he stood there blankly, his body trembling uncontrollably.

After a long while, he snapped back to reality and shrieked at top speed: "Quick, quick, quick! Transmit the news to Lord Cooler immediately!"

"Yes! My Lord!"

"Start the ship immediately and flee Planet Vegeta! Go, quickly!"

"Yes!!"

Kurizu began to sprint for his life, rushing toward the ship's hatch, preparing to seal it and escape!

However, just as he reached the hatch, he happened to see a massive, pure white energy sphere flying toward him at extreme speed, its target being the very ship he was on.

"No!!!"

The energy sphere instantly engulfed the ship. Following the roar of the explosion, the vessel suffered a chain reaction and was completely destroyed.

The one who attacked the ship was none other than Saigo!

Saigo had long since sensed that there were still people inside one of the ships. To prevent the enemy from escaping, he chose to launch a Super Ki Blast to destroy it outright!

As for the other two large spacecraft, they were empty, so Saigo had intentionally left them alone.

High above, Saigo surveyed the battlefield below and discovered that the enemy was already in a state of rout, with his own warriors finding opponents of similar strength to engage.

"Hmm! No clansmen have died this time. Very good!"

Upon sensing that none of the Saiyans had fallen in battle, Saigo decided not to intervene further, quietly observing the fight from the sky. Whenever he spotted a Great Ape struggling, he would provide assistance with a blast of ki.

If he discovered an enemy trying to flee, he would reward them with a Ki Blast directly!

As for the battle with King Cold, Saigo gave him the same treatment as Frieza, the only difference being that Saigo granted King Cold a chance to speak.

Time returned to two minutes ago.

Although King Cold had followed the main force out of the ship, he was in no hurry to strike. Instead, he stood by to oversee the battle, or more accurately, to search for the Saiyan who had killed Frieza.

He did not strike blindly, which played right into Saigo's intentions. Seeing that there was no one around him, Saigo flew directly in front of him, the two standing only three or four meters apart.

"Beep, beep, beep!"

"Hmm? A combat power of 2.5 million? To have such high combat power at such a young age! Could you be the murderer who killed Frieza?" The moment King Cold saw the combat power Saigo had intentionally released, he was extremely shocked. He had never imagined that a Saiyan could possess such high combat power!
