"Isn't that Ms. Bulma from Capsule Corp?"
Seeing Bulma, Videl recognized her instantly.
It wasn't as if Videl lived under a rock.
Naturally, she knew of a celebrity like Bulma.
Although Bulma was over forty, she was well-maintained and looked like a big sister in her thirties.
Videl took a deep breath and walked toward Bulma.
She greeted her, "Ms. Bulma, hello."
"Hm, hello."
Bulma looked Videl over carefully, and after confirming she didn't know her, she continued, "Is there something you need?"
Videl answered truthfully, "It's like this: Son Gohan asked me to come here to find him. May I ask if Son Gohan lives here?"
"Gohan?" Bulma's eyes lit up. She scrutinized Videl once more, and the expression on her face grew increasingly animated.
"Yes, yes, he does. You must be Gohan's girlfriend, right? I never expected that kid to be so secretive. Come on, get inside first."
Bulma enthusiastically walked over, grabbed Videl by the arm, and pulled her toward the house.
Videl stumbled as she was led into the house by Bulma, explaining all the while, "Ah, Ms. Bulma, I think you've misunderstood. I'm not Son Gohan's girlfriend. It's just that Son Gohan promised to teach me martial arts, so I came here to find him."
"I understand, I understand. And don't call me Ms. Bulma. Gohan calls me Auntie, so you can just call me that too," Bulma chuckled, shoving Videl onto the sofa.
"Wait here a moment, I'll go call Gohan. That kid should be training in the Gravity Chamber," Bulma said.
"O-okay." Videl was completely bewildered by her enthusiasm.
Ms. Bulma didn't seem as cold and aloof as the legends suggested.
Not only was she not cold, she was incredibly warm.
It didn't match the rumors at all.
Under Videl's gaze, Bulma hurried away, but returned after a little over a minute.
She sat down next to Videl and said, "Gohan was indeed training just now. I've told him you're here; he's gone to take a shower, so he should be out in a bit."
Videl rested her hands on her legs and sat up straight.
Facing the legendary president of Capsule Corp, she couldn't help but feel a bit nervous.
After all, to an ordinary Earthling, Bulma's aura was simply too overwhelming.

"Yes, okay, I'll wait here," Videl said.
Bulma said, "You don't have to be so nervous. I'm not that kind of strict parent. Let's just chat casually; treat me like a friend."
"Yes, Ms. Bulma." Videl agreed, but remained incredibly stiff.
"Hey, look, I told you to call me Auntie like Gohan does. Why are you still calling me that?" Bulma said, sounding dissatisfied.
"Ah, right, okay, Auntie Bulma."
"Hm, that's better. Here, have some fruit first."
"Thank you."
The two began to chat on the sofa.
Bulma started bragging about Gohan: "I watched Gohan grow up from a child. His family and mine are old friends, and we're very close. Gohan has been smart since he was little and learns everything very quickly. He's an exceptionally fine young man; it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say he's the best in the world..."
"Uh-huh." Videl's head was spinning, and she felt like she was sitting on pins and needles.
Bulma continued, "By the way, I haven't asked your name yet. What is your name?"
Videl stood up abruptly, her body rigid, almost as if she were about to give a military salute.
"My name is Videl, from East City. I work at the East City Police Department. I was born in Age 757, and I haven't been in a relationship yet. Please take care of me, Auntie."
"Uh..." Bulma was completely stunned by Videl's maneuver.
Look how nervous the poor child was.
After a two-second pause.
Bulma finally said, "Sit, hurry and sit down. Don't stand while you talk."
Videl had no choice but to sit back down.
"I never would have guessed you were a police officer. Police work is good, very nice. Age 757, what a coincidence—Gohan was born in Age 757, too."
Videl hadn't expected Son Gohan to be the same age as her, and she said in surprise, "Really? That is quite a coincidence."
"Hey, that's why you two should interact more. Young people need to communicate more to deepen their feelings."
"..."
Just then, Son Gohan walked in from outside, wearing casual clothes.
"Videl, let's go."
He clenched his right hand into a fist and pointed his thumb toward the door.
"Ah, right." Videl stood up in a hurry.
She turned to Bulma and said, "Aunt Bulma, I'll be heading out now. Let's chat again when we have more time."
"Mm, alright. You young people go enjoy your date," Bulma replied, then turned to instruct Son Gohan, "Gohan, don't you go bullying her now."
"I know, I know," Son Gohan said helplessly.
Videl followed behind Son Gohan, her face slightly flushed.
The two arrived at the back garden of the Capsule Corp headquarters.
"Right here should do." Son Gohan pointed to a patch of lush green lawn.
"Mm-hmm, sounds good." Videl nodded.
The two stepped onto the grass.
"Sit cross-legged." Son Gohan pointed to the spot opposite him.
Videl was wearing jeans today, so sitting cross-legged was no problem at all.
Videl nodded and obediently sat down across from Son Gohan, looking quite well-behaved.
She studied Son Gohan's face carefully and asked with curiosity, "Son Gohan, are you really from Age 757?"
"Yes, that's right. Is there a problem?" Son Gohan said.
"No, not at all. Aunt Bulma said you were from Age 757, so I was just curious because I'm from 757 too. I was born on May 9th. When is your birthday?"
Son Gohan: "..."
"Can't you tell me?" Videl pressed.
Son Gohan said with a wry smile, "You weren't acting like this in front of Aunt Bulma earlier, were you? Aren't you afraid of me?"
Videl laughed, "She's an elder, after all. You and I are the same age, so naturally, I don't feel that kind of restraint."
"So, when is your birthday, really?"
"May 8th," Son Gohan said resignedly.
"Ah, really?" Videl's eyes widened.
"Why would I lie to you?" Son Gohan said.
"You're only one day older than me! That's such a coincidence," Videl said happily, her smile blooming like a flower.
"Why did you come looking for me today?" Son Gohan asked, deliberately furrowing his brows.
"Uh, I came to learn the Flight Technique from you. We agreed on it yesterday," Videl said.
Son Gohan said, "And what are you doing right now?"
Videl pouted and said, "Gossiping. Fine, fine, I was wrong. I won't ask anymore. Please teach me the Flight Technique, Gohan-kun."
"Mm, then stop talking for now," Son Gohan said flatly.
Videl: "..."
This wasn't Son Gohan's first time acting as a teacher.
He had been teaching Trunks for over a decade, so he could be considered quite experienced.
He gathered his thoughts and said, "To learn the Flight Technique, you must first learn to use your ki. Once you learn how to control the energy within your body, the Flight Technique will come naturally."
"Ki? What is that? If I don't have ki, does that mean I can't learn the Flight Technique?" Videl asked nervously.
"Don't worry, everyone has ki inside their body; they just don't know how to use it."
"What we call ki is a type of energy hidden deep within our bodies."
"It's very difficult for ordinary people to tap into, but for those of us who practice martial arts, it's much simpler. We can easily perceive, control, and utilize our ki."
"I know you've studied martial arts, so mastering your ki shouldn't be too difficult."
Son Gohan spoke eloquently, rattling off a bunch of concepts that Videl only half-understood.
To Videl, it sounded like gibberish.
"Watch closely," Son Gohan said. He raised his right hand in front of him, palm facing the sky, and gripped the air.
Videl stared at his hand without blinking.
Just then, A vortex of ki rose in Son Gohan's palm, shimmering with a cold light as a spherical orb of energy formed.
"Th-this, what is this?" Videl's eyes were practically popping out of her head.
Son Gohan said, "This is ki."
As he spoke, Son Gohan flicked his hand, and the energy blast flew off, slamming into a giant boulder in the distance.
With a thunderous boom, the massive rock was instantly pulverized into dust, and the resulting shockwave whipped up, blowing Videl's long hair back.
"I... I really have something like that inside my body?"
Videl was completely stunned.
