The discussion ended with no clear answer.
Then the brothers parted ways.
Son Gohan bought a huge pile of snack gift packs and stuffed them into a Storage Capsule.
Trunks thought it over for a long time, then decided to go home and get his fanciest jet plane Capsule.
East City Police Department.
First Action Division activity room.
The officers had all gone out on assignments. Only their captain, Videl, was left behind.
Videl sat in a chair with her chin resting on her hands, staring blankly at the ceiling. She was lost in thought.
After a while, she came back to herself, picked up her phone, and typed a message to Bulma.
[Aunt Bulma, has Gohan-kun come back yet?]
She sent it.
Half a minute passed, but there was no reply.
A minute passed. Still no reply.
Five minutes later...
Videl kept checking her phone, then sighed and propped her chin up again.
Her mind kept wandering.
"Could Gohan-kun not be coming back?"
"It's been so long. It feels like he's been gone for years..."
"Maybe he's forgotten about me..."
Her thoughts were in such a mess that she didn't notice Son Gohan had been standing behind her for quite a while.
Son Gohan reached out and tapped her on the shoulder.
"Videl."
"Who?" Videl jumped, banging her forehead against the desk with a thunk.
"Ow! That hurts." Rubbing her forehead, she turned around, ready to scold whoever had startled her.
Then she saw Son Gohan standing behind her with a smile.
Videl froze for a moment, then let out a little shriek. Her eyes widened.
She scrambled to her feet and tugged at her clothes. "G-Gohan-kun, when did you get back?"
"Have you been standing here long?"
She remembered messaging Bulma and then sitting there lost in thought.
