For fifty consecutive days, Vegeta had watched Tarble's terrifying rate of growth. He was already starting to feel numb to it.
If he'd had this kind of heaven-defying training speed back then, he would've left Son Goku several galaxies behind long ago!
Even though he'd expected it, he was still deeply shocked.
In just one day, his battle power had increased by 115,000.
Compared to yesterday's increase of 112,700, today's increase was indeed another 2,300 higher.
At this rate, the Vegeta of old could only look on from behind.
Of course,
he was comparing Tarble's progress to his own before he'd become a Super Saiyan. The gap between them was still four or five times.
Now, after one day of training under 500 times gravity, he could increase his battle power by around 250 million.
Once he had a Scouter, he'd finally learned how much his battle power increased each day.
It wasn't as if he'd spent all fifty days lazing around.
With such an excellent training environment, he naturally wasn't going to waste his time.
As soon as Bulma finished modifying the new Gravity Chamber, he immediately threw himself into training under high gravity.
He'd trained for forty days in total.
His battle power had risen from 90 billion to 100 billion.
Before, he hadn't known how much progress he was making. And since he'd thought he couldn't match Son Goku, he'd mostly trained under 200 times gravity.
On top of that, he'd trained with a half-hearted attitude, working for three days and slacking off for two.
That was why, after all these years, his normal battle power was only 90 billion.
But things were different now. Knowing he could increase his battle power by around 250 million every day, he'd started training hard again.
Just then, his eyes flickered. He voiced another frightening, yet seemingly reasonable, suspicion.
"Tarble, I think you might be the Legendary Super Saiyan, the super warrior our Saiyan race only sees once every thousand years!"
"Otherwise, your training speed couldn't possibly be this fast!"
He was shocked, but also somewhat relieved, with a faint sense of satisfaction.
Because he thought he'd finally found the Legendary Super Saiyan!
And that person was none other than his own younger brother, Tarble!
A Royal Saiyan who'd been judged a Low-Class Warrior at birth!
After living on Earth for so many years and competing with Son Goku for just as long, he knew full well that neither he nor Son Goku was the Legendary Super Saiyan.
According to his late father, King Vegeta, the Legendary Super Saiyan was someone who recognized no one, destroying everything indiscriminately.
Now, seeing Tarble's astonishing training speed, he could only think of him as the Legendary Super Saiyan.
After all, he, Son Goku, and Rix were all pure-blooded Saiyans, and they were living proof.
The three of them really couldn't match Tarble's training talent.
Back when he hadn't yet broken through to Super Saiyan, one day of training under 500 times Earth's gravity had increased his battle power by far less than Tarble's.
If this wasn't the Legendary Super Saiyan, what was?
Still, this overturned everything he'd previously believed about the Legendary Super Saiyan.
Tarble was clearly kind by nature and had no desire to destroy everything.
Vegeta could only conclude that the rumors were wrong.
He thought this because he and Son Goku weren't the Legendary Super Saiyan, yet they could still become Super Saiyans.
That was compelling evidence.
Otherwise, wouldn't that mean every one of them was the Legendary Super Saiyan?
That was impossible!
Hearing him, Tarble shook his head, then nodded. "No, big brother. I don't think I can be the Legendary Super Saiyan."
"If that rumor has been passed down among us Saiyans, it can't be very far from the truth."
"If I were the Legendary Super Saiyan, there'd be no reason for my desire to fight and destroy things to be so low."
"The stories describe a savage, battle-hungry super warrior. They say that once he enters battle, his power surges and he loses control."
"I don't have any of those symptoms."
"So I can't be the Legendary Super Saiyan."
"At most, I'm just... a super elite warrior with better talent than the average Saiyan."
"What do you think?"
The fervor in Vegeta's eyes faded as he heard this. "Maybe."
The next moment, however, he changed tack and reminded him, "Still, with your battle power now, you should be able to try transforming into a Super Saiyan."
"Back then, Kakarot and I probably had a few million battle power when we first succeeded."
"I'll explain how to transform..."
At that moment, he showed extraordinary patience, explaining the secrets of transforming into a Super Saiyan one by one.
Tarble suddenly thought that having Vegeta as his big brother, after the changes to his personality, might not be so bad after all.
However, Vegeta's method was still the old-fashioned transformation-through-anger approach.
He completely overlooked whether the energy inside the body changed in any other way during the transformation.
"Does transforming into a Super Saiyan require anger?" Tarble asked, pretending to ponder the question. Then he looked at Trunks. "Trunks, when you were close to successfully transforming into a Super Saiyan, did you feel anything unusual?"
"Like... was there anything special about the way the energy inside you flowed or moved?"
"Now that you've mastered the Super Saiyan transformation, you can't still rely on anger every time, can you?"
At his suggestion, Vegeta and Trunks' eyes lit up. It was as if they'd suddenly grasped a new idea.
The direction their energy flowed inside them during the transformation.
As if they shared the same thought, father and son exchanged a glance and spoke in unison—
"The back!"
Seeing that Trunks had thought of it too, Vegeta immediately let him speak.
"Uncle, I remember now!" Trunks said excitedly. "If you gather your energy in your back, you can become a Super Saiyan."
"Try it!"
He looked eager to give it a go himself.
It was as if he were the one about to try transforming into a Super Saiyan.
Vegeta added, "Don't force it too hard. Start slowly, then speed up. That way, you can draw out the Super Saiyan power hidden inside you!"
Slowly, then quickly?
Tarble nodded, not entirely sure what he meant.
He'd never transformed into a Super Saiyan before, so he didn't know what it felt like.
But he knew that Saiyans from Universe 6 transformed by gathering energy in their backs.
He clenched his fists, about to slowly gather the energy throughout his body at the base of his spine and try to transform into a Super Saiyan.
But then Vegeta's voice came from beside him again.
"Wait!"
At the sound of his voice, Tarble stopped and looked at him in confusion.
"Let's go somewhere else to try it. The first time you become a Super Saiyan, it makes quite a commotion."
He remembered that the first time he'd become a Super Saiyan, he'd damaged the surrounding area.
If he damaged the land around the house, there was no doubt Bulma would scold him.
He didn't want to get yelled at over something like that.
Hearing his explanation, Tarble immediately understood.
"Then let's find somewhere uninhabited to try it!"
Vegeta nodded, then instructed Trunks, "Trunks, go tell your mother we're heading out."
"Huh?" Trunks clearly wasn't too happy about it. "But I want to come watch too..."
Seeing this, Vegeta instinctively furrowed his brows.
"Hurry up and go. You can catch up with us later!"
"We're going to Kami's Lookout."
Seeing Vegeta's firm, no-nonsense expression, Trunks immediately smiled. "Kami's Lookout?"
"I'll go tell Mom right now!"
As soon as he finished speaking, he turned and left.
He even used his high-speed movement technique.
Tarble pretended not to know what "Kami's Lookout" was and asked Vegeta, "Kami's Lookout? What kind of place is that?"
"It's a very unusual place. You'll see when we get there." Vegeta didn't explain further. He glanced at Rix. "While we're at it, I'll show you another way for us Saiyans to rapidly increase our battle power."
After speaking, he took off into the sky first, flying toward Korin Tower.
Tarble and Rix followed close behind.
