Son Gohan sat cross-legged, eyes shut as he racked his brain!
Since King Kai wouldn't let him experiment, he decided to work out in his mind how many times he could multiply his power with the King Kai Fist!
"From five to six times... I can use the sixfold King Kai Fist now. Any higher, and my body won't be able to take it. It'll collapse!" Son Gohan opened his eyes.
"Six times??? That's insane!! The sixfold King Kai Fist means you're more than six times as strong as you are normally!! Any opponent who could match you before wouldn't stand a chance once you used it!" King Kai was utterly stunned.
He'd never expected that a student he'd casually taught would be this extraordinary!
Some might wonder: since Son Gohan could already transform into a Super Saiyan, why bother learning the seemingly useless King Kai Fist?
Of course, there was a reason!
In the original story, after Old Kai unlocked Son Gohan's potential, he gained a transformation even more powerful than Super Saiyan 3: the Mystic Form!
And Old Kai had said that the Super Saiyan transformation was unnatural and damaged the body!
Son Gohan's Mystic Form was the transformation truly suited to him. It took little out of him, granted immense power, and put almost no strain on his body!
How powerful would Son Gohan be if he stacked the King Kai Fist on top of his Mystic Form?
Even if the Mystic Form couldn't be combined with the King Kai Fist, what about Super Saiyan God?
That wasn't just wishful thinking, was it? Sun Wukong had managed to do it, after all!
As for why Super Saiyan God could be combined with the King Kai Fist, Son Gohan had figured out the reason!
Though the original story never explained it, judging by how Sun Wukong could fight Beerus in the vacuum of space, becoming a God must have brought about a qualitative leap in his life force!
Stacking the King Kai Fist on Super Saiyan Blue put a strain on the body, but it wasn't a problem!
Super Saiyan Blue was what Saiyans transformed into after attaining godhood and then turning Super Saiyan!
It was easy to imagine just how absurdly much their life force improved after becoming Gods!
For now, the King Kai Fist was of limited use, even at ten times, and it damaged the body. But in the long run, he'd surely need it!
That was why Son Gohan had gone out of his way to find King Kai and learn the King Kai Fist!
"King Kai, I've learned the King Kai Fist, so I won't keep you any longer! Thanks!" Son Gohan bowed to King Kai.
"Wait, Gohan... The King Kai Fist is powerful, but I have another technique that's even stronger. Don't you want to learn it?" King Kai asked eagerly.
He'd finally gotten a genius student. He couldn't just let Son Gohan leave like this!
"No, I don't want to learn anything else!!" Son Gohan knew exactly what technique King Kai meant.
The Spirit Bomb!!!
That was right, the Spirit Bomb—the one you could only throw after raising your hands in surrender and taking a thorough beating!
"Why??? My Spirit Bomb is practically invincible. It can destroy anyone with evil in their heart. You're young, and your heart must be pure. You're sure to learn it!!" King Kai couldn't understand why Son Gohan refused. He hadn't even told him about the Spirit Bomb's benefits yet!
"I can't say much about that, but I'm sure I won't be able to learn it!" Son Gohan said with unusual firmness.
"No! Since you've learned the King Kai Fist, you have to learn the Spirit Bomb too!!" King Kai was just as adamant.
"Fine, fine... I'll give it a try!!" Son Gohan said helplessly.
Then he added, "Forgive me for asking, King Kai, but can you use this technique?"
"Ahem... Of course I can!! Enough talk. Clear your mind and focus!" King Kai coughed to hide his embarrassment.
A whole day went by!
"Maybe we should call it quits, King Kai... My stomach's growling!" Son Gohan said helplessly.
"Why... why can't even a two-year-old child like you gather the energy of the world around you?!" King Kai was furious.
Of course he couldn't... Son Gohan wasn't exactly evil, but in his previous life, he'd had a bit of a loser streak!
Especially with those unforgettable terabytes of adult learning materials in his mind!
The Spirit of All Things the Spirit Bomb required was pure, refined energy!
"Ahem, let's not dwell on why. How about this? I'll introduce you to someone who's sure to learn it!" Son Gohan asked.
"Agreed!!!" King Kai's greatest wish was to make his Spirit Bomb and King Kai Fist famous, so he could show off in front of the other Kais.
The person Son Gohan meant was Sun Wukong. Only someone as utterly pure-hearted as Sun Wukong could learn it!
Even after having Gohan with Chi-Chi, he still had no impure thoughts about lust!
"King Kai, I won't keep you any longer!" Son Gohan said goodbye again.
"Want to eat before you go?"
"Sure!!"
...Half an hour later
King Kai's eyes nearly popped out of his head!
A mountain of bowls and plates had piled up in front of Son Gohan, with picked-clean bones scattered everywhere!
Even a dog would've shaken its head and run off in tears!
"You ate a month's worth of my food in one meal!" King Kai couldn't believe that the little guy, who wasn't even 1.3 meters tall, had eaten dozens of times his body weight in food!
"Jumped right in, that was great!" Son Gohan mumbled through a mouthful of food.
"Swallow before you talk!!!" King Kai snapped.
"Gulp!! Ah... that hit the spot! I was saying I've always had a huge appetite!" Son Gohan replied.
"Eating well is a blessing... Go on, eat! Just don't burst!" King Kai said crossly.
"By the way, King Kai, please keep an eye on something for me. The Grand Elder of Namek might contact you at any time and ask you to find me. Be sure to let me know right away!" Son Gohan remembered the promise he'd made on Namek.
"Oh?? Namek? I didn't know you'd been there! As far as I know, Earth doesn't have the technology to explore space, let alone a spaceship that could fly to Namek!" King Kai said in confusion.
"Don't dig into it... Don't forget how I got here, and don't forget that Earth has a miraculous creature like Shenron. It's all understood without being said!" Son Gohan didn't explain in detail because he couldn't be bothered!
"Fair enough. Don't worry. If he contacts me, I'll let you know right away!" King Kai agreed to Gohan's request.
"Good... Now that I've eaten my fill, I'll bring over the person who can learn the Spirit Bomb in a little while. Make sure you teach him carefully!" Son Gohan said.
"No problem, but are you sure this person you mentioned can learn it?"
"Absolutely. You'll be amazed!" Son Gohan said confidently.
"Good. I'll be waiting!"
With a whoosh, Son Gohan vanished!
Earth
At that moment, Sun Wukong was fighting Piccolo in the Arctic Ice Field!
"Huff, huff... What's wrong, Sun Wukong? Out of energy??" King Piccolo panted heavily.
Sun Wukong was sprawled on the ground, utterly exhausted!
"Pi... Piccolo, I can still fight!!" Sun Wukong struggled to his feet, his legs trembling!!
Piccolo was barely standing too!!
"Well, well... Dad, Piccolo... Looks like you two are having a great time!!" Son Gohan appeared.
"Thud!!!"
Piccolo collapsed, unable to get back up. Sun Wukong did the same!!
