"You're Son Gohan, right?"
"Yes, Lord King Kai."
"King Kai Fist is a technique I developed myself. It's called a fist technique, but in truth, it's a secret method for increasing your ki. Since it's a secret method, it comes with certain side effects. Using King Kai Fist can cause anything from unbearable pain throughout your body to life-threatening danger. Now that you've heard that, do you still intend to learn it?" North Kai asked.
Son Gohan knew all about those side effects. But even as the creator of King Kai Fist, North Kai himself didn't understand just how monstrous the technique could be. After all, ordinary people simply couldn't develop King Kai Fist to its limits!
Only a body as monstrous as a Saiyan's could possibly do that!
And after recovering from a near-death experience, their battle power would increase dramatically!
King Kai Fist paired with Senzu Beans was practically tailor-made for Saiyans!
"I want to learn it. And I'm confident I can take King Kai Fist to new heights and reach a limit it's never reached before!" Son Gohan declared confidently.
"Good. I'll teach you!" Hearing Son Gohan's words, North Kai made up his mind without hesitation!
"Every time you increase King Kai Fist by one level, your power doubles from its base battle power!..."
King Kai began explaining how to train in and use King Kai Fist!
As it turned out, King Kai Fist worked by doubling the rate at which the body's cells divided!
Every time the technique's level increased, the cells divided twice as fast!
Cell division, death, and renewal were all part of the body's natural processes!
But King Kai Fist altered that process. Before the newly divided cells could die, they divided again. A person's strength was closely tied to their body, so changing the process this way naturally doubled their power. Of course, it also put tremendous strain on their flesh, bones, and internal organs!
The heart was under the greatest strain. After all, it was the body's engine, and the cells needed the heart to provide enough power to divide rapidly!
At this point, Son Gohan had finally confirmed what would cause Sun Wukong's heart virus in the future!
The Ultra Divine Water he had drunk as a child was highly toxic. Unlike Son Gohan, Sun Wukong hadn't fully processed it when he was young, and a trace of the poison had remained hidden in his heart!

But learning King Kai Fist had brought about an unexpected complication. Using the technique beyond his limits put enormous strain on his heart, leaving it unable to fully suppress the poison!
Even though he ate Senzu Beans each time to restore his stamina and health,
that trace of poison had already become one with him. Even Senzu Beans couldn't remove it. Then, during the Frieza era, he successfully transformed into a Super Saiyan, increasing his power fiftyfold. That was the final straw!
The poison finally erupted when Sun Wukong transformed again during the Android era!
Without the medicine Future Trunks brought back, he might never have recovered!
"Use your ki to ignite your cells and make them divide rapidly. That's how King Kai Fist works! Do you understand?"
"I understand, Lord King Kai. You're truly brilliant. I never imagined you knew so much about the structure of the human body!" Son Gohan's voice was full of admiration.
This unassuming, chubby fellow wasn't very powerful, but he was certainly clever!
It seems there's another truth about the Dragon Ball World: never underestimate someone who looks unremarkable. King Kai, Majin Buu, Mr. Popo, Zeno... Son Gohan murmured.
One after another, the unassuming yet monstrous figures from the Dragon Ball World came to mind!
"Now that you understand the principle, I'll teach you the exact steps to make King Kai Fist work!" King Kai began teaching him the technique in earnest!
Son Gohan listened attentively, like an exemplary student, without blinking!
King Kai explained while having Son Gohan try it out!
Three hours later!
"Lord King Kai, stand back a little. This is my first time using it, and I'm afraid I won't be able to control my ki!" Son Gohan clenched his fists and began his first real attempt!
"Don't worry. Even if you manage to use it, you won't do anything to me!" King Kai said, getting overconfident.
Because Son Gohan had deliberately suppressed his ki, King Kai hadn't noticed his true strength!
"Heh... this is like an old granny crawling under the covers... Aha! King Kai Fist!" Son Gohan began powering up before he could finish speaking.
King Kai's Planet, though only the size of a moon, shook violently, and the buildings came crashing down!
King Kai was blown straight toward the planet's only fruit tree, where he clung on for dear life!
"Hey, hey, hey! Son Gohan, keep it under control, or you'll destroy my home!" King Kai shouted in protest.
But this was Son Gohan's first time using King Kai Fist. How could he control it?
Boom!!! Vmmm!!!
Son Gohan's small body suddenly grew slightly larger, and his muscles bulged. His clothes billowed as if blown by a fan, and the white aura of his normal battle power turned red!
His hair stood up a little, too!
His battle power jumped from five million to ten million!
"Triple Kaio-ken!!!" Son Gohan shouted.
His battle power surged again, reaching fifteen million!
"That's enough, enough... Stop! Stop right now!" King Kai shouted.
"Ah... spare me!!"
"Who is it... I'm going to die..."
"You're already a spirit! If you die again, you'll be erased from existence!"
Son Gohan's pressure spread throughout the Underworld, causing chaos in every corner.
Even the hell beneath King Kai's Planet echoed with the wails of ghosts and demons!
The spirits waiting in line at King Yama's place began to riot as well!
It truly shook heaven and earth, terrifying gods and ghosts alike!
After all, this time Son Gohan hadn't suppressed his aura, unlike when he had transformed into a Super Saiyan on Earth!
Even fifteen million battle power was monstrous enough for this point in time!
"Son Gohan... stop right now!" King Kai shouted again.
"Lord King Kai, I don't feel like I've reached my limit yet. I can keep increasing my power!" Son Gohan said reluctantly.
"If you don't stop, you'll shatter King Kai's Planet! Can't you hear the demons in hell wailing?" King Kai said urgently.
"All right, then." Son Gohan slowly withdrew his pressure. The King Kai Fist form faded, and he returned to normal!
"Phew!!!" King Kai landed and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
"Son Gohan... you didn't tell me you were this monstrous! There probably aren't many people in the entire North Galaxy who can match you!" King Kai complained.
"You never asked. Besides, I don't think I'm all that powerful in the North Galaxy!" Son Gohan thought of Majin Buu, sealed away on Earth.
He was still a long way from that level!
"By the way, Son Gohan, what did you mean when you said 'an old granny crawling under the covers' before using King Kai Fist?" King Kai asked curiously.
Son Gohan had said it right after King Kai had gotten overconfident and claimed that even if Son Gohan used King Kai Fist, he wouldn't be able to do anything to him!
"Heh... you cracked me up!" Son Gohan said casually.
"'An old granny crawling under the covers'... 'you cracked me up'?" King Kai was momentarily taken aback, then flushed red as he tried to hold back his laughter.
Embarrassed, he burst into uncontrollable laughter. "Hahaha! That's hilarious... I didn't know you told corny jokes! Hahaha!"
Son Gohan shook his head helplessly. He couldn't understand why King Kai found everything so funny!
