When Son Gohan saw Old Kai, he immediately flashed him a big grin.
Seeing the mischievous look on Son Gohan's face, Old Kai grew wary.
"Were you the one who pulled out the Z Sword and freed me?"
"Who else do you think could be here besides me?"
"Then what's your name?"
"My name is Son Gohan!"
"Son Gohan!"
"Yep!"
Gohan nodded.
"Did you know all along that I was sealed inside this sword?"
"Yeah!"
"Then you must have had another reason for freeing me, right?"
Gohan nodded.
"What do you want me to do?"
"I want you to draw out the potential within me and bring it to its absolute peak!"
Old Kai was startled.
"How did you know I could draw out someone's hidden potential?"
"I know everything!"
Old Kai looked unconvinced.
"So, are you going to draw out my potential or not?"
Old Kai glanced at the two broken Z Swords on the ground and nodded repeatedly.
"I will, I will! But drawing out your potential might take a whole day!"
"Okay!"
As he spoke, Gohan sat down on the grass nearby.
Does this kid know what I'm about to do? Old Kai wondered.
"Are you going to start?"
"I'm starting, I'm starting. By the way, is this place Earth?"
"Yeah!"
"Oh!"
At Old Kai's instruction, Gohan put his hands out in front of him.
Old Kai circled around Gohan, chanting words Gohan couldn't understand.
Since unlocking his potential would take a whole day, Gohan started nodding off after sitting there for half a day.
But if he wanted to grow stronger, he had no choice but to persevere.
As for home, he had left a clone there long ago.
A day passed quickly, and before long, it was the following afternoon.
