Background / History

Su Xuan, an office programmer, awakens in the body of five-year-old Son Gohan in Age 762, half a year after Goku and Raditz perish together. He immediately receives the Cultivation System, which confirms his Saiyan bloodline and grants combat power for physical training. 1

Unlike the original Gohan remembered by Piccolo, this Gohan is unusually composed, assertive, and disciplined. Piccolo suspects that something is wrong with him, but Gohan continues to address him respectfully as “Uncle Piccolo” and trains under him. 3

Gohan’s training rapidly overtakes Piccolo’s strength. He learns techniques from Piccolo, visits the Lookout, defeats Yamcha while holding back, and begins using Bulma’s Gravity Chamber to accelerate his cultivation. 4 5 8
