"You wouldn't understand even if I told you, so I'd better not." Reiz smiled. Starlight flowed around him, making him seem even more composed.
"Hmph, you! How am I supposed to know if you don't tell me?" Vegeta glared at Reiz, fuming, his little face flushed bright red.
"It's called Ultra Instinct," Reiz replied simply.
"Ultra Instinct? What's that?" Vegeta looked confused and scratched his head. "I think you mentioned that name before!"
"See? I told you that you wouldn't know what it was." Reiz smiled faintly as starlight danced around him.
Vegeta's face darkened, and he glared at Reiz again.
"Simply put, Ultra Instinct is a rather special skill. Once you master it, you'll gain tremendous power." Reiz added an explanation.
"Tremendous power?" Vegeta froze for a moment, then instinctively reached to press the Scouter over his eye.
"Smack!"
As he did, Vegeta jabbed his index finger straight into his temple and grimaced in pain.
"Ow!"
Vegeta clutched his temple, tears almost welling in his eyes.
Only then did Vegeta suddenly remember that his Scouter had overloaded and exploded long ago. He didn't have one anymore.
"Y-you... What's your Combat Power now?" Vegeta hurriedly asked, forgetting all about the pain in his temple.
"I'm not sure." Reiz shook his head, then turned to Linoshi and asked, "How much do you think it is, Linoshi?"
"Well... It's hard to say. If I had to convert it into Combat Power, I'd say at least 900 billion." Linoshi thought it over and gave her answer.
She spoke seriously, blinking her blue eyes as if she were simply stating a fact.
"Y-you... Are you kidding me?" Vegeta's eyes widened. He cried out in shock, his voice trembling. "900 billion Combat Power!"
His mind went completely blank.
What did 900 billion even mean?
The 15,000 he'd always been so proud of didn't even amount to a rounding error beside 900 billion.
"Y-yes." Linoshi lowered her head in embarrassment and nodded softly. Her fingers began rubbing the hem of her Battle Suit again.
"Stop joking around! How could that be possible?" Vegeta said, deeply skeptical, shaking his head hard.
900 billion was completely beyond anything he could comprehend.
Reiz ignored Vegeta and narrowed his eyes slightly, looking toward the area outside the Training Room.
He'd keenly sensed another spaceship rapidly approaching him.
But that ship was extremely far from his own. It would take at least half an hour to catch up.
The energy wasn't especially strong, but it wasn't weak by Vegeta's standards.
"I have to say, mastering Ultra Instinct has increased my sensing range, too." Reiz sighed with feeling.
Before, he could only sense energy within a few hundred kilometers. Now, his range had expanded by at least a hundred million times.
He could vaguely sense the life energy of every being in the entire star system.
"Yeah, yeah." Linoshi nodded lightly. She'd sensed the ship, too. "It must be another one of Frieza's people."
"This time... the person's Combat Power isn't very high. It seems about the same as Prince Vegeta's." Reiz smiled and glanced at Vegeta.
"What are you two talking about? Did Frieza send someone after us again?" Vegeta froze, then hurried to the spaceship window to look outside.
He leaned against the porthole, shading his eyes with one hand as he peered into the distance.
But Vegeta didn't see anything.
Beyond the window lay only the vast starry sky, dotted with countless stars, deep and serene.
Of course he couldn't see anything.
Cui's spaceship was extremely far away. There was no way he could spot it with the naked eye.
"A guy with a Combat Power of about 16,000," Reiz said casually, quickly identifying his opponent's power level.
"Combat Power of 16,000?" Vegeta frowned slightly and turned from the porthole. "Could it be that guy named Cui?"
"Cui? It's him?" Reiz realized.
In Frieza's Army, Cui was a rank below Dodoria. His Combat Power was around 16,000. He was slick and obsequious, with little ability but a lot of bluster.
"Hmph, I'll take care of him!" Vegeta said with a cold snort, suddenly eager for a fight, his little face full of determination.
"His Combat Power is 1,000 higher than yours. Are you sure you want to fight him?" Reiz asked with a smile, a hint of amusement in his eyes.
"Hmph, it's only 1,000 higher! He's no match for me!" Vegeta smiled confidently, lifting his chin and folding his arms.
A Saiyan's pride wouldn't let him back down.
What was a mere 1,000-point difference?
"Fine. Find a planet for us to land on," Reiz ordered.
Vegeta didn't object. He turned and ran to operate the spaceship.
His little hands flew over the control panel as he set a new course and searched for the nearest habitable planet.
But as soon as Vegeta changed the spaceship's flight instructions, he suddenly felt that something wasn't quite right.
The next moment, Vegeta's hand froze in midair.
Then he turned and glared at Reiz, his little face flushing bright red.
"Reiz, you! I haven't settled the score with you for knocking me out!" Vegeta clenched both fists in anger.
"Prince Vegeta, are you sure you want to challenge me, a man with 900 billion Combat Power?" Reiz grinned, teasing him as starlight flickered faintly around his body.
Vegeta's mouth twitched, and his face went pale in an instant.
Oh no!
He'd almost forgotten something so important.
This guy's Combat Power was far higher than his.
Even if it wasn't 900 billion!
Even if it were only a million, Vegeta still wouldn't stand a chance!
"Hmph! Since you're my teacher, I'll let this go!" Vegeta tried to look cold, arms folded and chin held high, but his words made it clear he was backing down.
Linoshi tried to hold back her laughter beside them. Her shoulders shook slightly, and amusement filled her blue eyes.
She suddenly thought the little prince was quite adorable.
He was pretty good at backing down!
It seemed Reiz really had scared him.
"Whoosh!"
The spaceship streaked across the starry sky, its engines shooting bright flames as it raced toward a nearby planet.
The starlight outside rushed past, stretching into long bands of light.
Five minutes later.
The spaceship landed on a planet with an extremely hostile environment.
"Boom—"
The landing gear touched down, kicking up a storm of yellow sand.
The three of them climbed out of the spaceship.
The planet's environment really was dreadful. Yellow sand swirled everywhere, and the air reeked of rotting plants mixed with the smell of sulfur.
The gale howled, pelting the ship's hull with grit and sand that crackled against it.
